    Gabby's floor pass is the training update I've been least excited about. Yes, it's valuable and trendy, but the fact that this particular attempt (flingy, low, heavily spotted by *two* coaches) is the one that was uploaded makes me think in reality the pass is nowhere near ready.

      It’s a NEW tumbling pass and nothing was wrong with it she literally just over rotated and just needs to work on the landing… she didn’t lack in power and her form was nice in the air you’re being a critic for the sake of being one

      @singsongeric: Oh shut up, you've a LOT to say about a practice pass. Who cares about whether you're exicited or not? Gabrielle Douglas doesn't need your opinion or approval to be the gymnastics goddess that she is in truth. Just step back troll and let her genius go to work in peace! You better know her fans are out in force.

    • @You-dh1du
      @You-dh1du 2 місяці тому +5

      She's performed a full-in double back throughout her elite career. And she's performed it in combination as well in the past. I am pretty sure this pass is not that far out of reach for her.

    • @singsongeric
      @singsongeric 2 місяці тому +5

      @@You-dh1du The full-in is not difficult for her, it's the combination from the layout front full that's the tricky part, and this does not look ready at all, which is interesting because so far she's only been posting videos of skills that are pretty much perfect (after however many takes, which we don't know). That said, we also have no idea if she's intending to compete this pass or if she's just playing around with options.

    C'mon ladies, please put on more clothes. Get cotton/lycra leotards they are cooler. Being so scantily clothed is a struggle for male coaches even if they don't admit to it. Its not fair to them.

    • @94gymnast
      @94gymnast 2 місяці тому +20

      And yet it's fine for male gymnasts to train shirtless. If the coach is attracted to his gymnasts there are bigger issues and it's not going to matter what she's wearing. Cotton leotards are very uncomfortable for gymnastics as they do not dry quickly when sweating and do not move as well as other materials. Gymnasts should wear what they feel comfortable in, not what you think they should wear.

      What you have just written is rapist ideology: that women - not men! - are responsible for men's behavior, that women - not men! - are at fault if men behave poorly, and that women - not men! - should take steps to ensure that men are well behaved. Athletes, no matter their gender, should wear what is safe and comfortable. As professionals, it is coaches' personal responsibility to act appropriately. Athletes are not to blame for the behavior of coaches.

      Are you saying you don't think men are as capable of coaching as women are? Because it sounds like you think they all lack the ability and/or willingness to be professional in a gym context, unless you mean to apply it even more widely.
