i think what I enjoy most about WoWS most is we get to see what ships would have looked like but never did. I know they're hypothetical but just o see them in a physical form and get a glimpse of their characteristics makes it better to see and understand how ship builders planned and built the ships the way they did.

It's the total allowed displacement *combined* for all the German's heavy cruiser built (3 CAs= 51,000 tons @ 17.000 tons per CA) Which was not a lot tbh. German's WW2 Kriegsmarine was a shell of its former self (WW1 German Empire's High Seas Fleet)
I have this ship, and i approve; she is good shooting down planes AND team player type ship. Fast rate of fire in minute is good, but 10% chance to set on fire is bad, combared other nation ships. but in the end i like this ship.
10% with Demolition Expert, 11% if you go all out and put the two signals ontop. Compare that to Chapayev and you see that Chapayev can go up to 14% with DE and 15% max. However, unlike Chapayev the Mainz does not require IFHE, which would mean that Chapayev usually has 9% max fire chance. And Mainz fires 120 shells per minute, Chapayev 90. Mainz, for what it is, is on par with Chapayev as a fire starter if Chapayev does not take IFHE and way better than any cruiser at T8 that requires IFHE to pen a BB deck. As an added bonus, the Mainz will pen 38 mm right off the bat, while every other light cruiser at most gets 37 mm, except Mogami, so you really just get for free where others have to invest 4 skill points and half their base fire chance. Stating Mainz has bad fire chance is like complaining that Smolensk has bad fire chance because it only has 8%, ignoring that it just throws out way more shells than anyone else.

I have the VIII Hipper now, where is or was this ship in the Tech area where you can purchase ships after grinding the ship before it with free credits? The Hipper is not that great of ship, what you show here seems much better.
Can anyone tell me how the he'll those AA gunners survived 150mm Cannon firing triple mounts over the heads at point blank range? Seems to me the shock wave would rip them into atoms?
first u need to be an ST to test this ship , and secondly Nurnberg is better tier for tier , i can beat Hinderburg cruisers with a t8 Cleveland easily because of firing arcs , this ship can be good , it just depends on firing arcs . Most people look past this strength and it is the most important strength out of them all after concealment

same here..Even though they are still rather mediocre nowadays. Love playing the german ships because they are generally good at pushing caps..But i generally score way more kills/damage in american ships..namely texas,arizona,Alabama

T8 repair party is reserved for British and cruisers that have horrendous dpm. Mainz is neither of that, so why should it have one?

You don't need repair on Mainz, you have 17.5km range which is plenty enough, coupled with very good DPM.
