Aldi Food Items That Have Cult Followings

- Aldi has become the favorite grocery store of many shoppers in recent years, as customers love their minimalist outlook and low prices. They may not carry top name brands, but that doesn’t mean that their products are bad, and many of them have developed cult followings, not unlike the items at Trader Joe’s. You may not think that you could get good wine at Aldi, but you would be wrong, as you can try either the cheaper Winking Owl brand or the fancier Cotes de Provence Rose. Let’s take a look at a few Aldi food items that have developed cult followings.

What's your favorite food item to get from Aldi's?
Goat cheese
Coconut Shrimp
Roasted cigars 100 percent natural and organic shampoo
I love the gyro kits in the frozen section, and the shaved steak in the meat section frig with Aldi Clancy's cheese sauce makes the best Philly cheesesteak sandwich. For dessert love the dark chocolate and sea salt caramels or the Specialty Select brand box mix of double chocolate brownies. Snack - go for the Clancy Dill Pickle flavored popcorn.
Reuben Bites!
The brioche buns are the best you can get anywhere, imported from France they are the real deal and you can throw them in your freezer and have fresh buns anytime just toast them a little bit in a pan.
How long do they last in the freezer?
@@KSSBG Indefinitely, just take them out when you need them.
never seen or knew about frozen cocktails, or the frozen fruit blend either.
Ahhhh yes, I miss those boozy popsicles from my childhood. Me mum would give those to me when she couldn't get me to go to sleep "Now now, off to sleep with you little baby" 😄🤣😄🤣
Not all Aldis sell booze.
The Winking Owl label at Aldi has some inexpensive but quite good varietal wines at a very reasonable price.
My favorite go-to wine.. and at that price I usually stock up👍🥂
Agreed
Since it’s a German company I Loove all their German imported items also at Christmas the German baked treats as well the organic items
I agree and the German roasted coffee is the best!
@@janetcatalano8391 so true
I was disappointed to find the marzipan bars I purchased today are really hazelnut spread..though usually yummy
They’re not even trying to hide the fact this is a major commercial
Who cares. They got people watching it. And probably for a fraction of the cost of a traditional commercial.
Clover Valley makes the actual Girl Scout cookies. (Dollar General)
I have NEVER seen the paradise fruit blend.
As for the most popular items... usually hear people talking about the red bag chicken, pb cups, zero carb bread most of all. Never heard of the paradise blend or the cocktails.
seen the zero carb bread. it's $3.99 a loaf. no way will i ever pay that for a loaf of bread!
for a German, its interesting what kind of products you got in a Aldi Discount there in the US.Greetings
the price for the Sekt mix is insane...
Please send more Spaetzle! It's good!
As a German I would like to say: you are welcome.
Danke schoen!
Their bagged salads are great & much cheaper that other stores. If you like salad & are short on time or don’t won’t to do all that chipped you should definitely give them a try. I have yet to have a cheese I haven’t liked. Lots of great & inexpensive things @ Aldi’s.
All bagged salads, fruits n veggies should be washed
Chicken patties, cheese, brioche buns, red bag chicken, butter, eggs, milk, sweet brioche breads, German Christmas Cookies, German Chocolate, bacon, breakfast sausage, shredded Irish beef, produce is always cheaper, wine is spot on (Florida), I kinda like Aldi's a little bit. Also, premade burger patties.
Peanut butter cookies are pretty good too.
You mean the Girl Scouts copycats??!!!
Forgot the root vegetable fries -seasonal only - beets, carrots & parsnips - so delish!
Their cheesecake is fabulous
I'll try the pumpkin and sage ravioli.
The Kirklands stuffed chicken 👀 blaze a fat doink, go to Aldi, buy all of them, profit
Haven’t seen the fudge mint cookies in our local Aldo in well over a year.
Dollar Tree has a great thin mint too
Those brioche buns are wonderful. And they have the same texture and flavor you find in a bakery. Plus they cost significantly less at aldi.
The Aldi GS cookies as far as I can tell, are the exact same ones sold by the GS. I'm thinking its just rebranded. Why? Because it does not make sense that they only fire up the baker once or twice a year,,, nawwww.
Great video 😊 I will be checking these items out👍🏽
Can attest that the pumpkin and sage ravioli is fire. But what I really miss is this jalapeno and bean pasta bowl they had a couple times. Until then, I didn't think pasta should be spicy. It was delicious!! Gonna try and recreate it sometime. They also have an amazing nut blend that comes out around November with these chai covered almonds that are to die for, and rosemary almonds too, but the chai are ugh! UGH! Not sure what else, but the only things I've been meh on are pumpkin spice beer and their cheap-o vegetarian burgers and things. Cheaper than wal-mart, but don't have much taste or flavor to them.
Have you tried the Thia burger?
@@loristrout4741 I think so. It was good. Kinda mushy though.
Yes, yes, and yes. Thank you!!!👍🏽😉 Third
Aldi is where it’s at, i’m sorry if anyone is offended. Foods AMAZING.
I mainly get the fresh fruit and veggies. Good prices and fresh.
Dried fruit and nuts great prices.
They have a great chia and fruit jam. Canned veggies are priced great too.
you forgot the chocolate chip brioche loaf?!?!? i buy 2 every time i go!
The Coconut Clusters by Fit and Active. They are soooo yummy 🤤!!!! God Bless
Can't find this
The frozen meatballs are very good, though, as well as the plain frozen cheese ravioli.
Great video! Thanks!
They have a good sweet potatoe casserole. Its seasonal.
Love their turkey tenderloins, and can’t seem to find them anywhere else. In addition, I really enjoy their speciality cheeses, mainly during the holidays, though.
My husband was raised by parents who farmed meat gives thumbs up
To their meats
In the UK. Fresh fish pie. Try it you will like it. Serves two persons.
Only the Winking Owl wine has been a regular purchase among these.
How is the hangover and buzz on such a low quality cheap wine?... That sentence sounds like I'm being condescending lol but I'm just curious
All I could find was the Winking Brown Eye Wine ... it tasted like sheet 😄🤣😄🤣
Belgian Dusted Truffles 🥰😛❤
I agree, I had to buy about 10 packages for my mom 😱
Hard cider, sea salt carmals, holiday time champagne cheddar cheese I buy 48 bars at the holidays n freeze most for lader, steak seasoning, organic chicken, organic fruit n veggies, pumpkin ravioli oh yum! , gyro kits, brichoch buns, French style with dark chocolate bits buns, , be tons chocolate coconut cookies with caramal, caramel in the fall the various types of crackers packs, gourmet apples the fruits. So many items!
Hahaha, wait cocktail popsicles ?
Great video
Love the cocoa covered almonds.
You missed the sugar free coffee creamers at least in our area. Someone goes in and buys it all sometimes. Not me either.
Love their cheese sticks 😋 😍
Unfortunately, none of the items containing alcohol are available here in Pennsylvania.
Shop across the nearest state line.
Same in NY 😔
MN either
Same in NJ
Alas, in the state of Maryland, supermarkets are not allowed to sell alcohol. Thanks Maryland!!
Wow...Maryland kinda sucks, don't it????
I guess it depends on where you are in MD. Most grocery stores near me sell wine, beer, & liquor; but unfortunately the local Aldi does not.
Luckily the nearest state line ain't far is such a small state. wink wink
@@qualicumwilson5168 True. Alas, I live right smack in the middle, so it's a pretty good haul no matter which way I go.
That sounds like a Not-So-Merry Land 😄🤣😝🤪
Thank you.
The coconut frozen shrimp is to die for,as is Aldi salmon
Those broiche buns are good.
Also missed the Clancy Roasted Sweetcorn Flavored popcorn. It’s a seasonal item in Illinois
FYI, two buck chuck is now three buck chuck in my area....
Cookies are good. My husband loves them.
Nobody mentioned salted caramels. Delish if you rub off most of the salt.
Can’t find the fudge mints in my Aldis
Its bin a long time since I've bin in a aldi
Oh and at Christmas they had the most tasty eggnog with a punch in it LOL I still have one cuz we got a couple of them so I have when I'm still in the fridge but it is really good and I'm sure it's german-made eggnog but I never heard of eggnog with wine was such a punch a good punch I wish they would sell it when it's not Christmas maybe I could order it don't know
The GS knock-offs and the peanut butter cups are amazing. I still like Reese's better because I like the sturdier structure and a little more saltiness in the Reese's peanut butter cups.
There are a lot of great things at Aldi, as long as people can release their attachment to name brands. Some cannot.
They have the BEST English muffins........at half the price!
I do not like their english muffins. After eating Kroger's brand, I tried Aldi's and they had no flavor. I like Aldi's but not those!🤷♀️
Cranberry white cheddar
Aldi in NY cant sell alcohol because of all of the wineries and breweries :(
Also in PA
NY just plain stinks anyways. I know, I live there☹
Goat cheese
Truffle macaroni and frozen macarons.
OMG the Net Carb Bread is the nastiest bread I have ever tasted.
yeah now krogers has healthy life bread 0 carbs for only 5.99 a loaf. nope!!
Lewis 0 net carb bread is the very best keto bread I ever had and I tried them all
Just eat regular food like a regular human, and exercise once in a while.
Frozen strawberries frozen blueberries their meats are good the vanilla ice cream half the calories it's so good breakfast sandwiches half the price of Jimmy Dean taste the same exits cheap some people are stubborn I tell him to go there they think something's wrong or I don't know if it's the name or they're not used to it my daughter will keep ordering online and have it delivered cuz I can't get out anymore I used to go and they have brand new scooters for the handicapped but I'm 88 I just stay in and she orders online and delivered to our door I'm very happy with Aldi
Always comparing it to trader Joes even tho they are basicly the same company xD
Aldi's is on to something I don't buy very much frozen food, and I can see why it would take a lot of alcohol to even consider eating pumpkin ravioli.
cheap wine 🤙🏾
WARNING Recently from ALDI, I bought a 2-pound bag of FREEMONT brand cod each piece was individually wrapped for $11.99. When I thawed out one of them it was so waterlogged it fell apart in my hand. I am not one of those people who take bad stuff back but I did take this back along with 2 jars of the worst pickles I've ever eaten. The pickles were Great Gherkins brand bread and butter chips and same ALDI brand hamburger dill chips. OMG they were the worst pickles I've ever eaten, one of them tasted like PAINT!!! TheReaper!
Their cod is terrible. It shrinks to about 1/8th the size of frozen when you cook it. I get cod at Costco now.
Aldi cannot sell wine in New York because of state law. They can sell beer but they don't, at least not at any of the 8 stores in our area. Does anyone have any idea why? I asked them and their response cited state and local regulations, but all of the other chains, including Trader Joe's do sell beer.
Wegmans lobbied them out
Same in Massachusetts and New Hampshire
no wine in ny
No shopping bags in akdi
Zero Net Carb Bread is no where to be found in California ALDI's.
They have em now...southern cal anyway....2 kinds
Lady haven’t we heard enough of the word “cult” especially in regard to food items.
Trader Joe's and Aldi belong to the same family...
Well yes, but actually no.
@@bryantgomez7135 Make up your mind. Yes or No?
Yup. Brothers. And both sell sub par food
Aldi stopped selling the thin mints years ago for no reason. They just pulled the keto bread recently.
2:18 arange
I don't like food which has "cult followings". I prefer known brands and tasty food. I don't follow trends like sheep.
👍
All I can tell you is that you're missing out. If you have an Aldi near you check it out. I had the same attitude.
isnt it a german brand?
Tidi
Aldi's Nuts?
Lmao
Deez nuts*
When I shop at Aldi it's hit and miss. I seldom fine what's in the videos. What do find I like.

Trader Joes *is* Aldi. It's just the other Aldi.
Kirkland isn’t Aldi
The chicken was Kirkwood
The voiceover is a little too enthusiastic for me. Good video though

I live in Pennsylvania, so my Aldi’s doesn’t have any alcoholic products.
New Jersey doesn't have alcohol either because this is where fun goes to die.
This is an AI voice-over correct?
Why is the store tossing so much good stuff away for the dumpster divers to be rewarded.
I've seen a truck from the local area food pantry picking up food. Dumpster divers were just cutting out the middle man
Why shouldn't we be rewarded? They throw, we dive. Why should it just go to rot???
Why are you allowed to survive while being so hateful towards struggling people?
Baby seat flavored foods, any foods the lazy checker puts where the dirty diapers sit.
Just something about Aldis that turns me off.
One year too late and I'm here to shill for the WHOLE MILK GREEK YOUGURT HOLY SHIT.
Ugh, her voice!! I want to shove pencils in my ears!!!!
3:22 She's packin'
What are you 12 ?
Like you’ve never seen a fat person.
Why is it called cult?... weirdo’s
I only lasted 4 mins, on this review. The putrid "to die for" commentary "did for me".
Yuck foods that are no name crap!
