I love these movies! Damian is such a fun character too! I don't think it's part of this time line but "Under the red hood" Is one of the best dc animated movies in my opinion. Jensen Ackles and Neil Patrick Harris are VA's in that one and it's a really good stand alone movie.
DC has what’s known as “Crisis Events”, which are stories when they reboot their continuity, Flashpoint was one of them.
Also, whenever you want to, please begin reacting to some Marvel stuff as well, I don’t want you kissing out on those epic things as well. I want you to experience and live both the Marvel and DC universes, not just stay with DC, because you would be missing out on so much, and so many legends
Also, please react to the Dark Knight trilogy. Only the most ultimate Batman movie trilogy out there

Like The Flashpoint Paradox, Justice League: War is also very comic accurate to the story it's based on (The New 52 Justice League Volume 1: Origins), the only major difference is that they used Shazam instead of Aquaman.
But I do enjoy how they introduce aqua man

Animated dc movies never tones down the violence I love it
It's sucks cause all the animated movies are great because they are written by comic book people who know the characters. DC animated movies are so good. If the Live action movies could be approached this way just think of what could be.

Steve Blum is fantastic at voicing many characters, but I honestly sometimes forget how great a job he did voicing Darkseid in this movie.

I love Steve Blum, but every time I hear Darkseid speak and don't hear Michael Ironside, I am disappointed.

So, first, this does take place after Flashpoint. Barry stopping himself from saving his mom didn't reset the timeline back to what it was before. He couldn't put it back 1:1. It created a new animated timeline which JL WAR (this movie) is the first of.
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) is a smartass and very confident. It actually plays into his powers since they run off Willpower and his confidence can bolster his Will.
It kind of does but doesn't take place after Flashpoint.
Flashpoint ended with him apparently making it back since he is talking to Batman about it and even giving him a letter from his father.
So if Flashpoint's ending scene is supposed to somewhere else within the timeline of these movies, since he is shown first meeting Batman here, a later movie contradicts it by showing that the Flash of this timeline no longer has any knowledge or memory of going into another timeline/multiverse.

The meeting between Green Lantern and Batman is the best part of this movie.
Btw that scene between Batman and Green Lantern in the sewers actually did happen in the comics, which makes it funnier. This has nothing to do with the movie, but I just love the fact that Batman has a Superman mug and Superman has a Batman mug.
GL: FLASH MAH BOI GREAT TO SEE YOU

Every now and then, DC decides to restart its universe and story. This time they did it with Flashpoint at the end of which, Flash created this alternate universe which (the end of the movie did not reset into the old world Barry was from). And so War is the story where the Justice League formed in this world. I believe the next movie is Throne of Atlantis.

the dcamu movies are very good. I think you would really like the batman ones as well. they all take place in the same continuity.
FYI Darkseid is pretty much considered the ultimate villain of the entire DC Universe. He is literally the New God of Evil. Most of the time story arcs involving Darkseid are universe defining moments in DC. Just as humans are ants to superman, Superman is an ant to Darkseid.

Flashpoint Paradox is one of my favourites too. Under the Red Hood is another amazing one.
Honestly all of DC's animated movies are Top Tier, because they have the people who write the comics write the stories.
Make sure you watch Assault on Arkham, was my first DC animated.
When I saw it, I was like, "keep making these, and you don't have to worry about the live action shtick".
21:00, now you know why Darkside is up there with the other DC Dark God's, like the Spector and Trigon.
It's good cause in Justice League Vs Teen Titans you get Trigon and then in Justice League Dark Apokolips War you get Trigon Vs Darkseid.
The main thing about this movie is that it's the beginning of the new timeline the Flash made at the end of Flashpoint. Although it's unclear if Flash has any memory of the event at this point yet.
Batman is my favorite in these movies because he’s badass
In both this and the Snyder JL, Cyborg's mechanical parts come from the mother box. The only difference is how he was injured in the first place.
When Billy Batson turns into Shazam while swinging the baseball bat at the para-demon is one of my favorite changes into a costume
Its cool to see you branching out but I'll always love the anime (: DC does sooo many good animated stuff. Batman, Flash and Constantine are some of my fav heroe's
In most modern cases, Cyborg is fused to something called a FatherBox, not sure about the details, but it's Apocalypsian tech, from Darksides homeworld and is INHERTENTLY EVIL.
Well, now I want to watch you react to the whole Justice League TV series, and Justice League Unlimited from the early '00s. You really get to know the various heroes in those series, and in Unlimited you get to meet a bunch of even lesser known heroes.
The fact they got Sean Astin to play Shazam is a good choice

Darkseid was in both the Superman animated series and the Justice League cartoon, which are both in the same universe. Darkseid was the grand finale of Justice League Unlimited. I never watched Superman, but I think Darkseid controlled Superman in it, and Batman mentions it when they are fighting Darkseid in Justice League.
Why didn’t anyone tell her to watch Under the RedHood???? Like all of the movies Pre-Flashpoint are bangers. All of them after is a bag of mid to decent.
technically darkseid is basically a god like being from another dimension. he is so vast that he can not exist in our universe, and thus he uses an avatar that contains a fraction of his actual power to meddle in the multiverse
Flashpoint is a great movie and someonf the movies after it are great, but if you get time. I HIGHLY recommend many of the films before Flashpoint. Some of the recent Animated DC films fell off hard

The next one if I may suggest should be "Justice League: Dark" it's about the more supernatural side of the DC universe. Another good one is: "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths"

plot twist darkseid is technically a new gods villain written by the great jack kirby. he was later add into the DC pantheon. but he is technically outside of DC

This is based on the New 52 universe, which in the comics was a reboot of the entire comic line where they started the DC universe anew. When Flash reset everything in Flashpoint he created alternate timelines like this, which is the in-world explanation. So this movie covers the New 52 Justice League Origins story fairly closely, and it's why no one knows each other yet.

Probably had 50 comments say so, but for both thew comics and for this animated series Flashpoint Paradox was a soft reset, with the time travel shenanigans in Flashpoint being the reset and this being the clean slate to start again and make a cohesive universe of movies. DC Comics at the time had a similar reset with their New 52 line after Flashpoint, younger and newer heroes and more or less these costumes and personalities. This went in a different direction from the comics ultimately, but it kept every character true to their core basic level of who they are and how they are

There's two different ways writers can interpret Cyborg:
1. Angst-heavy brooding guy who is sad because he doubts his own humanity.
2. Same as above, but hides his pain and angst behind a sad clown act.
Number one is never a good idea because it invites comparisons to Motoko Kusanagi, who does the angst "I doubt my own humanity" thing better.
Number two is always more emotionally devastating. You laugh along with him, then when you find out that the jokes are covering pain, it hits a lot harder.
Writers rarely understand this.

As an old comic reader / nerd.:
DC slaps when it comes to animated movies.
Marvel slaps when it come to movies with the live action.
Either way, there is enough quality content out there.
Nahh Man of Steel is still way way better than any Marvel movies except Dr. Strange, Tobeys Spiderman, The incredible Hulk and infinity war but still MoS has an edge just a tiny bit

A little summary On why The JL members don't remember each other , this only happens whenever the flash creates 'Flashpoint" , this allows him to create an Alternate timeline overwriting the previous one. it's also known has a 'hard reset" within the DC universe. enjoy the films

Flashpoint was a comic book event that reset the DC universe. It is the first in this Animated Universe but I don't think at the time when it was made they had planned for it to be start of some series if movies. That's why the ending to Flashpoint Paradox doesn't quite line up with JL War. But from here forward each movie in this Animated Universe follows a chronological order.
Wonder Woman gonna pay for that....He's Darkseid...he'll make everyone pay for that...
Darkseid is the mega villain. He puts thanos to shame. Darkseid the concept of evil. Put simply. Darkseid is.

I definitely suggest you do the "Justice League Dark" and "Constantine: City of Demons" movies. They are not chronologically next, but some of my favorites. Especially if you like more mystical/supernatural stories, because they deal with magic, demons, and other supernatural entities!
