Trans people who want to live a quiet life can do that. Questioning child mutilation and eroding women’s spaces has nothing to do with trans people wanting to live their own life.
Graham is a marvelous person. How can you say his views are controversial when they are shared by at least 95% of British people? The interviewer had obviously made up his mind in advance, and showed no empathy for the fact that activists have destroyed Linehan’s career. Shocking. So he thinks that it is okay to destroy someone’s life because they say something that he calls ‘controversial’. And who are these people? Still can't understand why some people are more offended by what some people say and not by what some people do. How can you hold any comedian up to these standards when it's their job to ignore them?
I see an over excited interviewer who hasn’t done his homework opposite a calm and very thoughtful and well informed Linehan. Im writing this after the Cass report
Graham is right. And you haven't 'challenged' him as per your heading. He comes across a lot more reasonable than Stig in this.
I think he was challenged, he just produced very reasonable answers. There was no gotcha moment.
Watching a woke presenter trying to make common sense sound irrational and hateful is painful. Graham is amazing fighting against these dangerous ideologues who are destroying our society.
Trans people who want to live a quiet life can do that. Questioning child mutilation and eroding women’s spaces has nothing to do with trans people wanting to live their own life.
Interviewer aggressively trying to twist what had been said, interviewee - spot on!
Most post anonymously online, using anonymity to allow them to get away with abusive behaviour. Thus a small group of extremists can shape society according to their whims. The interviewer ignored this obvious point. I suspect he lives among the metropolitan elite, and shares their world view.
alternatively, graham's an ignorant egomaniac who deserves endless derision and shame.
hmm something tells me you've just made up that stat, much like graham does. shocking
@@numberonedad Really? I meet hundreds of people, including Guardian readers, I have never ever met someone who shares this extreme ideology. On the contrary, everyone wonders what is going on. They wonder why 2/3 of actors in UK adverts are black, whereas black people are 3% of the population. They wonder why so many people in the media are obsessed by the delusion that one can change sex simply by wanting to. Oh and I’ve voted Labour and Tory in the past, i.e. middle of the road. We arw living in clownland. Except the clowns are vicious. They try to impose their views on everyone else, and if someone does not agree, they have their livelihood destroyed. It’s evil, mean and dangerous.
@@StillAliveAndKicking_ thanks for confirming you made it up!
>They wonder why 2/3 of actors in UK adverts are black
more made up stats, just like graham. you discredit yourself every time you comment.
@@StillAliveAndKicking_ thanks for confirming you invented that stat!
>They wonder why 2/3 of actors in UK adverts are black
more phony stats, just like graham. every comment further discredits you. i don't care how you voted, because it always must have been for silly reasons.
Graham Linehan is so right. I agree with him completetly. The journalist is trying hard to destabilize him but you cannot destabilized someone who has strong values. Books should not be banned. No one should be canceled.
You go, Glinner! "There are four lights!"
Thank you for using your voice on my behalf.
They just want to be left alone. Hmmmm. So, tell your child not to call you "Daddy" again. That is what these men do. My sons included.
This putz talking to Linehan seems to just want everyone to play nice and that's that. 'Leave those po' trans peeples alone, you bully.' Notice how he never speaks in defense of children/adolescents, only talking about adults trans ppl, or those claiming to be.
Graham will be remembered in history as a hero.
hahaha
Interesting how we're supposed to not express our opinions on important issues of our time 'cause we might "hurt someone's feelings". Good grief people, grow up. 🤡
oh please, Conservatives are the first to start banning things that hurt their fee-fees
Except they're not. Are they, mate?
@@offshoretomorrow3346 Yeah. They do.
People like this interviewer are so tedious.
Well done graham. Keep fighting the good fight against the perverts and fanatics.
❤ Graham Linehan for standing up to the woke indoctrination from the likes of radio DJ apologists.
Linehan is my hero
Linehan is not responsible for the feelings of "transpeople."
Thank you, Graham! ⭐️
Imagine the safety of women and children, being less important than feelings and fetishism? Never!
Keep up the good work, TR!👍
Really interesting. Would have liked to see the whole unedited interview.
xD
nah it would have been sad graham would have sounded even more incoherent and disorganized
This interviewer is pushing for what reason? Just didn’t do his homework
The presenter has an almost manic energy, I would find being interviewed by him very stressful.
Times doing their best to smear, on Cathy Newman levels!
Why do people endlessly go on about JKR being transphobic ??? She has never ever said anything transphobic FFS
Apart from the time she compared the trans movement to Death Eaters, siding with people who share similar ideologies to the Nazis, and describing trans allies as the Taliban. Not forgetting all the times she's used her huge account and following to hound small trans accounts of social media
What about the trans activists apologising to women for calling for a threating violence on them Stig?
Rowling her own boat.
Graham Lindeman patience is 😊 gold .
The interviewer is in high cortisol level to annoying
The interviewer was clearly in thrall to transgender ideology and persisted with an unreasonable line of questioning. In response, Graham Linehan was patient, reasonable, open and honest.
People are chopping their bodies up because of an idea. At least Scientologists are not hacking their bits off.
You can't talk about "the trans issue" in any meaningful way because otherwise you are cancelled.
his book was serialized in two newspapers good try though
@@numberonedad Books are bought by people who are open to his views. "Cancelled" is what happened to his stand-up comedy show or his TV series.
@@janegardener1662 ...and newspapers are bought by people who want to read the news. glad we agree that graham himself definitely wasn't canceled, despite his hilarious bawling otherwise
@@numberonedad If you think people read everything that is printed in a newspaper, you are mistaken. I subscribe to a paper and all I do is read the front page and do the crossword! Everybody picks and chooses what to read in a paper, but cancelling a person's livlihood by shutting down their comedy shows and putting their popular TV show on the shelf is quite a different matter.
@@janegardener1662 no i just think that people who probably want to check the weather are getting graham's ignorant nonsense foisted on them and that's the opposite of being canceled.
again, he says it's a bestseller so in what sense has his livelihood been canceled? the more we learn about graham the more it seems he was carried by much better writers and comedians throughout his career.
The male interviewer does not have a grasp of what this movement includes and its egregious harms.
Well done for a cracking interview - Stig did really well in allowing GL the time and space for Glinner to make his case. More of this please!
Well done gentlemen Graham Linehan Stay the Path!
as for the tr interviewer inflicting his perspective to get you to apologize for what! sic!sic!sic!
Watched the interview because of you Graham and will (never open tr again only this once!)
Will let my friends family know your visiting New Zealand in March (I'm overseas) hope you take time to speak with Sean Plunket The NZ Platform and Family First Bob Mc McBlog +
The interviewer on this video is desperate to get Graham to “repent” and “apologise”
Why is this interviewer berating the guest? The host is pushing his own ideology instead of getting clarity around Linehan’s beliefs and arguments. I hope the interviewer doesn’t consider himself a journalist. He’s not. He’s an advocate.
Has anyone at Times Radio actually watched the Kathy Newman debacle with Jordan Peterson? This continued disingenuous reporting has got to stop. You are either choosing to misrepresent these views, or you are as simple as you suggest the general public are.
Why would they watch that when its got nothing to do with the subject at hand. The interviews in style were nowhere near similar.
@@bganonimouse2754They were similar, both had a journalist with a preconceived idea and unwilling to think.
These journalists live in a liberal arts media bubble. I have never met anyone who would disagree with Linehan, my neighbours think we now live in clown land.
@@StillAliveAndKicking_ If you have never met anybody who would disagree with Linehan then it kind of makes you a hypocrite for saying that others live in a bubble.
I know people who support his position and those against his position.
@@bganonimouse2754 That is bad logic. I meet huge numbers of people, including company directors, sports trainers, armed police commanders airline pilots and kitchen fitters. None of these are the metropolitan elite. Some are confirmed Guardian readers, some are Sun readers. I am a Times reader. I would argue that the metropolitan elite, or liberal elite, whatever they are called, constitute a small but influential group.
Graham is owed an apology by ... well pretty much everybody.
Stig has many friends with "trans kid" and he needs to keep them on his dinner party list.
Sickening.
A massive loss for TV comedy shows.
When will someone who interviews Graham actually give him an example where he went to far ???
Admirable man, Graham Linehan.
Can this interviewer speak a straight coherent sentence? He sounds like he’s on something.
I am a new fan of graham. Just found out he helped write father Ted. Am absolutely fan, I am!
Helped??
Wrote the IT Crowd too!
@@offshoretomorrow3346
I heard he co-wrote. I love the IT crowd. Id only ever seen him as an actor. I didn’t realize he was a comedic genius.
He created father ted ….not helped. Don’t forget motherland, one of the best sitcoms in recent years!
@@g.s.1722
Thank you.
Well done, Graham!
Well done Graham! Stay strong!
This is what these people always do, they ignore the actual issue and try to get someone to apologise for some supposed faux pas- who are they kidding? - no one respects them!
Sounds very interesting and relevant and worth discussing. The GID thing applies to a fractional few; otherwise it's insanely over-amped, IMHO.
I'll be back to hear the whole thing tomorrow.
Stig is another in a long line of soft liberal "journalists" who just fence sit on vitally important issues like this.
He was the same during the Charlie Ebdo attack.
Luckily Douglas Murray was there to show the Pound shop James O'Brien what courage is.
I don't usually watch/listen to Times radio,I watched this because of the principled brave person being interviewed. Its like a Blairite love in,just as LBC is now.
Most times Glinner is interviewed it has many more views than this one.
I wonder why? 🤔
Exactly. He's a coward, if ever I saw one. He'll happily go along with lambasting this dangerous movement, when it's finally safe to do so.
He’s had everything taken away, what’s there to retain if he takes it back? Nothing. Keep on going!
Well said.
None of he's questions follow on from the answers he's received. This interviewer only has his agenda in view. Kathy Newman mark2
He speaks such logic. And the radio presenter knows this. I can see it in his eye
The interviewer is ridiculous. Grahame...is a brilliant, brave man. Good for him!
Yes, he's incredibly brave to push away family and instead seek support from online weirdos
Graham is absolutely correct and this interviewer obviously hasnt done his research properly. He is also biased. Listen to Graham!
This interviewer is hostile, has his own agenda, and seems incapable of really listening.
He was very dismissive of valid points
Well done Graham, he was trying so hard to wind you up & trip you up, shame on him!
I'll be honest as I always am, I didn't like father ted, just not my humour.
But now I greatly admire you, you've taken huge financial losses to protect and speak out about the safety of women & girls, including medical harm to children.
A few years ago if you'd come to a nearby town or city to talk about FT I wouldn't have even considers going, not only that it would be unfair to someone who really did like it.
But...if you were within a couple hour train journey , even if you were talking about FT is be there to show my support and no doubt be shouted at my her age men who struggle to hide the make propensity to violence& aggressive behaviour.
The interviewer would never give an honest opinion on his life in fear of getting sacked.
Interviewer needs checking for rabies
You are a man of integrity I agree with you
Graham wants to talk about facts, Interviewer spends the whole time talking about people's feelings. Whilst he was at least reasonably polite he fell into the same lazy journalism of every other interviewer. "Can you see how what you said might make some people sad Graham? Won't you say 'hands up I've been a bit offensive sometimes'?"
Will they ever ask the same thing of the trans activists?
Graham so sorry for what has happened to you. You're telling the truth and the facts .. nothing sensational or unreasonable.. this fella has no idea of the reality it seems to me.
Careful now!
😂
Down with this sort of thing
