I like the sigma lens in every aspect, I think it’s really sharp and the autofocus is as fast as the Fuji lens. I come from a Sony setup so the aperture ring is nice but not essential to me and I haven’t had any issue using the front dial to change the aperture. To summarise if you’re on a budget or if you just want to save some money then definitely go for the sigma because you won’t regret any performance 😊 if you’re obsessed with the Fuji lens aesthetic and you want to stick with it then go for it. But performance wise I see no huge difference to justify the price gap.
Love the vid and photos, Laura. I'm starting to miss my Fujifilm x-T4 I use the Canon R6 for my street photography now. Come to the UK And will go on a street walk
Thank you so much Alex! Would love to shoot in London for sure 😊. The R6 must be a great camera, I haven’t tried the canon system yet but I’m definitely curious about it.
@@LauraSpinaLS Yeah, it's an amazing camera the tracking is so good 👌 but once you start shooting with it there will be a part of you that feels like something is missing…. for me it was the Fuji colours and the feeling connected to the photographs I was taking. I think that's why I miss it 😁. If you ever decide to get an R6 or rent one would love to see a vid/thoughts on it.
Hello, im from Indonesia. just wonder, have you any issue with your sigma 56mm lens for manual focus? Because i found the changing focus on manual mode shift sightly so i have to rotate the focus ring many times.
Hello! I didn't have any issue with the manual focus but I also rarely used it. If your gear is still in warranty I would try to get it serviced or changed by sigma :)
Hi laura I see you quickly taking shots. Do you have your aperture on 1 position. And your focuspoint you have it on center? And do you use aperture priority mode? Refreshing to see what you photograph. Been in Amsterdam several times ( from Groningen). Greets Wouter
Hi Wouter! Thanks for your support 😊 I try to shoot with ISO auto between 160 and 600, and at 1/250 if possible. I sometimes leave the aperture on auto and keep the priority on shutter speed but I also like to do the opposite. In general I’d say I don’t want my shutter speed to go under 1/125 unless I want it specifically for a shot 😊
I mainly shoot with a min of 1/250 shutter speed, max ISO of 500, and aperture set to auto so I don't have to always adjust everything. Although I sometimes set everything to manual If I want a specific aperture. That could be the case of a portrait when I want a more blurry background :)
Hey! thank you so much :) The autofocus is really good but nothing is comparable to the Sony because it has just the best one on the market. That being said I never had an issue nor missed a shot for the AF. I also tend to shot multiple time just to be sure I got the subject in focus.
It works really well, I’m used to the Fuji 35mm f2 which has a fast autofocus and I didn’t notice any difference with this sigma lens. I definitely recommend it 😊
hey! I use the Astia soft fuji preset :) and then I created a bunch of presets that you can find here -> www.etsy.com/listing/1237862931/film-camera-10-lightroom-presets-pack?ref=listings_manager_grid

How you liking the sigma lens compared to the fuji, and can you live without the aperture ring for the price ?

Nice video and great photos.
Will you show us your editing process in the future?
Thanks Lito!
Yeah absolutely, I try to keep my editing as simple and quick as possible but I can make a video about it 😊

I love these videos. I keep seeing shots I would take and in my head I am saying go back! Go back! It’s a fun change in perspective too. Great job.
Thank you so much Alex! I started filming pov for the same reason, I always felt I was part of the video while watching them 😊

Great video Laura .. do 70-300mm if you can hehe Ty keep shooting
thank you!! ahah will try to do it, but that lens is not in my buying list. I'm not that into telephoto :)
Hi Laura, I came across your video as I'm about to buy the Sigma 56mm for my Fuji.
Do you still shoot? You haven't been active here for quite a while
Hi Tom! It's been a long time since I made a video, been busy with life and moving to Paris this year. Hopefully I'll come back soon :) Thanks a lot 🙏
I hope you’ll find some more time soon, really enjoyed your photo walk)) Good luck with Paris 🤞🏼
I've subscribed to see more videos!
New video is coming soon 😊 thank you for the support!

Love your color grade ! How do you find the autofocus of this lens compared to Sony 50mm..?

@@LauraSpinaLS thx fr yr reply..im thinking of getting either x-s10 or a6400 🙂
@@hudhudeyes8054 they're both a great option, I had the a6400 for more than a year and loved it.
Btw, have you cropped the images?
Some images look like they are from 85mm, or I might be mistaken
Hi! I did crop some images although the 56mm for a cropped sensor like the Fuji one is going to be an 85-ish equivalent for full frame 😊
@@LauraSpinaLS i know, I mean 85mm on apsc
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
love the video man.
when adjusting autofocus speed on your xt4
does it work well with your sigma lens ?
It works really well, I’m used to the Fuji 35mm f2 which has a fast autofocus and I didn’t notice any difference with this sigma lens. I definitely recommend it 😊
@@LauraSpinaLS woah thank you for the feedback 😊!
Hey pal, thought I’d chip in to inform you that Laura is a woman :)
Long blonde hair, feminine hands, female name lol
@@Eyeofkamau noted just my form of slang coming through
@@liam_a_daniel I’m just picking your brain :)
Is this lens weather sealed?
The official website says “Mount with dust- and splash-proof design with rubber sealing”. So I wouldn’t go too far with that.
@@LauraSpinaLS Thanks! Great video by the way ☺️
What your setting color. Tell me thankssss

3:03 Hair :)
what af sigma 56 in video with xt4
sony a7iii or fuji x-s10?
Fuji x-t4, I never tried the x-s10 but the battery life is too short so I recommend the x-t4
but i don't have enough money to buy xt4 :(
But then the Sony a7iii is also too expensive. I’d go for the Fuji but buy at least 3 batteries 😁
And I forgot to ask about autofocus performance?
Bro I've the budget to buy other sigma or Viltrox
Can you tell me how's the video af performance of this lens
There're very few videos out there about sigma xf lenses
Hi 👋🏻 I can’t talk about the Viltrox because I never tried it but the sigma is just great and worth the comparison to the Fuji 😊
@@LauraSpinaLS ok bro thank you
I'll buy the sigma than
please, film simulation recipes
I will very soon :) thanks for the suggestion
