@@GummyDinosaursify i think so too, there was a tall girl in my school and most of the guys just referred to her as “giraffe”. i don’t think she cared that much though, and she had a lot of friends.
As a tall girl... not always. If you are skinny & lithe like a supermodel or the actress in this, then yes you are considered attractive. If you're bulky (muscle, fat, bone, whatever), then no. People don't bully you, it's more through body language, but you're made to feel like a freak of nature, like you're Godzilla or something. Women are raised to feel guilty for taking up space and you're constantly aware that you're bigger than all the girls and half the guys. Since COVID, I've switched to less intense exercises and dropped some weight and the difference is night and day. People treat me like an actual person now, which is nice, but I do miss lifting and feeling strong.
So the main tall girl in this movie was on Dance Moms. She was one of the girls that was almost on Abby’s team, but got cut for issues about her being too tall compared to the other girls. When this came out, I thought it’s probably a coincidence, but I think it’s funnier to think that it’s not.

To answer your question about whether she's a good actress or just tall- This movie is kind of based on that girl's life story. She was on dance moms, and everyone made fun of her for being really tall, and she was rejected from group dances for being too tall for the group
To be fair I that situation was atrocious and she never deserved how she was treated. But the way this movie makes it seem like she faces this much adversity and hatred for being tall is…… hilarious ?
I would have rather watched a movie about a character who was a tall dancer and was judged for their height since it is a real issue for some dancers. And I thought this when the movie was originally released. When I watched Dance Moms, I felt so bad for her.
It seems like this issue makes the most sense in the context of dance, rather than school life. Not to say you can't get bullied for being tall, people get bullied for the most insignificant things after all, but making this movie be about dance would have fit much better to bring this issue to light.

That's something you figure out by middle school.

Yes, this tall beautiful girl is getting harassed for her whole life? Girl, join a sports team or call a modeling agency. You'll make friends real fast
According to my sister, a girl who was 6'2 at age 14 & wears a size 14 men's shoes(& actually auditioned for this movie), there are only two things that suck about being tall 1. Having to constantly bend down to use a sink 2. Having to buy dressy shoes from drag queen-centered websites because they are the only ones in her size
@@Pkjackal13 it sucks because she can't go into a store to get dressy shoes since most stores don't have her size. Even when she finds stores that have shoes in her size, the drag queens have already bought all of the good ones lol
Bruh, they're acting like 6'1 is the same as 6'7. For her to be "freakishly tall" that she towers over everyone at her school, she needs to be more like 6'7, or 7'1.
One of the few things I remember from this movie is the moment where it briefly became self aware and had the black friend point out how shitty it is for Tall Girl to constantly complain about how difficult her life is to

Yea same but I think I'm confusing them with Drew Gooden's video with yeye boy and Drew
@@NoDefaultsPlease Yes! I had to look it up because I felt like I'd seen this movie when I knew I never had.
@@movieholic-92 Make sense that the ultimate commentary video is burned into our brains
LETS HEAR IT FOR DERICK
Dude there was a tall girl in my school who would fight the boys. Literally one of the coolest people I’ve ever seen. Show me that movie.
this was hilarious!! I hope Derick does more commentaries with you guys, y’all bounce off of each other 🤣
"You're gonna end up in tall jail"
Oh my god you're killing me
Need more Derek on the channel! He’s hilarious
@PrettyMuchIt, every single upload fills me with joy and my room with laughter, but this one is just somehow even funnier! I'm only 7 minutes in, and you guys have already reduced me to tears from laughing so damn hard, lol.
it's because of derick! he's hysterical!!!
@@PrettyMuchIt The both of you were on point here! Thanks for the laughs.
The fact that Chris Lilley had this exact plot for Becky in Lunatics is sending me into hysterics
Underrated comment
We need more Derick, he is great
Yes, this tall beautiful girl is getting harassed for her whole life? Girl, join a sports team or call a modeling agency. You'll make friends real fast
According to my sister, a girl who was 6'2 at age 14 & wears a size 14 men's shoes(& actually auditioned for this movie), there are only two things that suck about being tall
1. Having to constantly bend down to use a sink
2. Having to buy dressy shoes from drag queen-centered websites because they are the only ones in her size
Wait but have you seen drag queens why would that suck they know how to dress fabulously
@@Pkjackal13 it sucks because she can't go into a store to get dressy shoes since most stores don't have her size. Even when she finds stores that have shoes in her size, the drag queens have already bought all of the good ones lol
I just watched Marry Me in theaters and if y’all don’t do it when it comes to streaming I’ll cry
Bruh, they're acting like 6'1 is the same as 6'7. For her to be "freakishly tall" that she towers over everyone at her school, she needs to be more like 6'7, or 7'1.
One of the few things I remember from this movie is the moment where it briefly became self aware and had the black friend point out how shitty it is for Tall Girl to constantly complain about how difficult her life is to
“Daddy’s Little Tall Girl” i need that on a shirt
Phenomenal vid boys. This is the perfect video to introduce people to PMI. Which I just did.
Hell yeah hello to collin’s friends! 👋🏼
11:50 “An inch away from your happy ending” story of my life
As a 6’1” 16-year-old, I can confirm this movie is 100% accurate
As a fellow adolescent tall girl (5'10 by the time I was 13 yrs old) I can honestly say I absolutely did NOT need this movie🤣 but I needed this funny as shit commentary, so thank you both for your service! Love this duo!
Eric literally has the power to write movies and shows as they’re happening in front of them. A movie will have been written released, and be out for two years, and then Eric will say some shit like “Can’t believe they haven’t done a bumping your head on the doorframe bit” and reality will suddenly warp around him to make it happen in the movie
6:56 when Eric said “she has a gun” literally killed me 😂 ☠️
this is the funniest video i’ve ever watched
thanks, nora!
1:10 went from that’s the girl from girl meets world to literally the biggest popstar on the planet lol
