I’m in the IB and my mental state depletes more and more everyday 😭 But I would never drop out it’s just a lot and I feel like I can’t focus on living my life at all so idk bout some of these kids answers lol 👀
@Yacine Bourahla [Student] yeah I regret it im in college now and only got credit for one class most of the colleges locally only accepted HL courses which I know is common but they didnt even accept my history class? Overall, I should've taken college courses and could've gotten a lot more credit :/.
@@jessicaphillips8388 so it was hard for you because you just wanted more credits for university. you didn't really wanted to enjoy the ib, the process of learning what it teaches you, the whole experience. doing 2 years of hard work just for some credits that weren't much is obviously a terrible experience.
@@user-vb3kn6ur3s I was there for both. I don't learn much under super stressed conditions. My teachers put too much emphasis on how hard it is and made it seem so over the top, when they could have promoted a more take it one step at at a time approach. My school was the only ib school in the state, so nobody even knows what it is. Props to anyone who have actual IB schools. Here the IB kids are very divided from the rest of the school and were held back from doing activities the rest of the students got to participate in. Really sad experience, wish we had a proper IB school nearby.
I did IB in 2004-2007.. I’m a full-fledged Oncologist now.. still looked back at my time doing IB with pride.. it was hard, but absolutely worth it ( it was harder than the first 3 years of Med School!)
your videos are always so well-edited and really fresh among the tons of ib/school videos out there, i cant believe this is a new channel! i seriously love these videos so much
Looool my HL chem teacher told us to quit IB and like I wish that it was because we were bad students or something, but he said this after one test that my class bombed. Keep in mind, my class average prior to this was like a level 5 or 6 loool. Safe to say, he wasn’t my favourite teacher. I’m not the biggest fan of HL chem, but I loved stoich for some reason? Anyway I hope I get a better teacher in year two!
What career do most students in the IB go into? Could you make a video interviewing different IB students and asking about their dreams, accomplishments and what they want to achieve in the future
I would LOVE to make this video, but unfortunately I've moved across the country away from my IB friends. Watch out for a video like this in December when I go back home!
As a former Chinese IB student, I would say that IB is really difficult... The HL Maths and HL Language and Literature are disasters for me during my IB time...
People make IB sound like such a hard thing (I’m not directing to anyone) but it’s actually not, it’s fun and boosts up ur learning a lot more than regular schools.
hi, im in grade 8 and im going to apply for the IB test next Jan. I want to study for it, but i have no clue what questions to study for. any suggestions?
Hi, I have a question, so I will be studying in an ib school this year and I am actually confused as to which laptop will be apt for the programme. It will be great if you could help me out in order to select a windows laptop or a Mac. My subjects are-- HL business, HL visual arts HL Hindi(I'm from india) SL English , SL math and SL computer science.
heyy!! From experience a mac (like a Mac book air*) is usually an all-rounded computer to use, I am in business studies and IT and I am able to access all programs and software easily. * I'm referring to the mac book air since it's small and compact compared to other larger macs, the size is important since you will use your laptop a loooottt! Between essays and research, carrying it constantly and having it around you 24/7. I do know students who purchased pc's and windows because of the lower price and they have come to regret it. A window subscription + office subscription + other firmware that lack in those laptops have ended up being pricy. Anyways I hope I could help! also good luck!!
I am an Indian student hoping to join the IBDP program next year. I plan to take the following subjects: HL: Eng lit, econ, psych SL: Physics, Math AA, French Ab initio Can someone help me understand how much time i will need to commit per day outside of school for this..and if i will have the time to prepare for competitive exams(CLAT for 2 to 3 hours daily) Also will i be able to take say for example two to three weeks off before the exam day in December of my second year of IBDP for this same exam... Thanks in advance for the help:))
no cuz you need grade 10 background knowledge like in the sciences and math and stuff. it's not even an option in my country lmao. there are grade 10 prerequisites that you need to do which you can't do in ib
I’m a DP2 watching this at 1am, cramming for HL psych, for my exam tomorrow, I didn’t choose this program I go to the only international school in this country and it’s either IB, or this bullshit HS do that has the same courses but without the title so this is all I got
