Yea rolling while turning appears to be it’s biggest weakness from some testing I did, still feels like it’s gonna rip at any moment during turnfights tho lol
The fact that the F3H-2 Demon does basically everything this does but WAAAYYY better for only a tiny 0.3 bump up in BR is probably the most hilarious part about the whole thing. I mean, the engine power is a bit lower, but it really doesn't make a gigantic difference frankly.
Yeahhh I would rather have 4x nose-mounted, more-effective cannons coupled with with 4 AIM-7C Sparrows all on a faster, more reliable platform at only a 0.3 BR increase for sure lol
I disagree, the F4D is by far the better dogfighter. TWR approaching 1.0 on low fuel and no missiles, and all the nose authority in the world. I would take it over the Demon in almost any circumstance. Main issue is the lack of ammo.
I remember when I first got it how much more fragile it was, or at least felt if they didn't actually change anything. I was in a match once and I ripped both wings off because I *started* to bank to the right to turn in on an enemy plane lol, I didn't even get to start the turn before both wings left to pursue their own lives elsewhere
Real Shatter might've been making your guns seem weak. This is one of my favorite planes to fly. Once you learn its ins and outs (like uninstalling the boosters.) Managing the speed is very important. You can quickly drop to stall speeds in tight turns, and it compresses above 800 kph.
Realshatter must have messed them up, because while I never played it much until recently I only remember having issues with the wide parallax and not the damage output itself
You got to try it out :) At its BR in GRB you can still stay high in the air and it has a ton of good enough rockets (easy 3k in a good game). The CCIP at that BR is very strong.
I saw someone suggest that to another (quite unhappy) F4D player in a game I played before I unlocked the boosters upgrade, I will have to see how having them effects me in the long run

Tips to avoid self destruction.
No boosters, don't roll and pull at the same time, if your over .8 mach don't pull hard.

@BirchNova real shatter seemed to affect most cannons on angles most still shred people if you hit flat parts or where wings meet the main part

The “landing flaps” are just the elevators moving to an upwards pointing position as well lol
You can base bomb with it cuz of the rockets and it’s computer

If you switch primary weapons, you get double the ammo but half the burst mass
*half the burst mass double the trigger time, same ammo
