There is no actor in my opinion that is more loved and respected than Drake. His loss will sorely be missed. I am grieving for his family and his fans, me included. I watched Days of Our Lives on and off throughout the years. I did know someone who suffered and passed away from pancreatic cancer. It is a brutal disease. RIP Doug and RIP Drake!! 😢😢 Fly with the angels!!❤

It still seems so unreal.... he was so iconic - like Joseph Mascalo/Stefano.... Bill Hayes/Doug..... and John Aniston/Victor.... except we never knew Drake was sick! He was so young and vibrant.... my heart is broken for his wife and family and those who knew him and loved him.... it's still so unbelievable.... 💔
I just thought about this: John's wife Isabella died from pancreatic cancer and now Drake's died from pancreatic cancer. Cancer is a horrible, evil disease - wouldn't wish it on anyone. Drake will be missed by so many. :(
I am so sorry for your loss. My mom in law also died from pancreatic cancer. We worked together for 15 years. We took care of children with developmental disabilities. She finally made the decision to retire after over 30 years of dedication and very hard work. She was diagnosed 2 - 3 months after she retired, and lived 3 years and 4 months. She worked so hard for so long, and didn’t get to enjoy her retirement even a little. Yes, It is truly a horrible disease. I miss her so much.

If his last episode aired 9/9 that means it was filmed back in February. They must have known he was not coming back. I was saddened when I heard what his last air date was. I thought he’d still be on air for several months when I heard he’d died. It’s very sad.

In good taste to the characters and history, I really hope it's written that Marlena chooses not to remarry down the road like Alice Horton and Caroline Brady. It would be so unnecessary otherwise.

Even though I've never met Mr. Hogestyn, watching him since the year my son was born and he first appeared on screen, endeared him to me to the extent that I am profoundly saddened by his passing. I wish that we had Drake for as long as John Aniston and Bill Hayes, the latter of whom I started watching when I was 7 years old.

One of my great grandmothers died from pancreatic cancer in 1986 (just under ten years before I was born). She was 70 years of age.
Not buried but cremated oh man may his spirit be alive with family and friends before he will be welcomed to heaven 😢😢
