    If only you boys were in the Scottsdale, AZ area. Hard to find good and honest club fitters here who really have your best interest above their own. All I see and hear in town is upselling. If anyone here knows of a reputable club fitter in or near Scottsdale, please let me know as I’m in the market for new clubs. Cheers.

    I have gone through two fittings in the last two years. Both done by same company, but at two different locations. One fit had me in clubs one inch over in length ( 38 for 7 iron), with a 63 degree lie angle. Second fitting result; 1/4 inch short, 61 degree lie angle. Distance, etc. was marginally different. I was confused by the results, so paid for the fitting and left. Lot of upselling going on even when I gave them my budget. I wish you were closer, lol. Thanks for the knowledge, it is very helpful.
    Willingness to pay for 6-GW in irons, $1200. Most asked $2100 for same six irons. Full 14 clubs, was asked for $5600.

      200.00 a stick is very reasonable, and I don’t blame you there shouldn’t have been that big of a discrepancy with length, pretty sure you didn’t shrink.😀

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  6 місяців тому +1

      That is a without question a crappy result. I’m ok with comparing last year to this year so individuals can make an informed decision, but in the end the recommendation should always be about the number and analysis, even if the choice is I like this option as it’s a good mix of performance and cost. I’m Sorry to hear that happened, if your ever in the area look us up, as I’m about to make a huge announcement next week.😀

    Proce was $550 with fitting fee and the putter (Evenroll)

    Had a fitting in Oct and chose Midsize grips assuming they wld match the swing weight in the build.... WRONG they claimed they couldn't because they don't have tip weights.
    I had to re grip some to standard and add lead tape to wedges to get close to suitable swing weights. When fitted using a 7 iron it always seems a risk to trust that the wedges will be OK.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  6 місяців тому +1

      Very good point, traditional wedges should be fit separately, if it’s a PW or GW in the iron set then they can be built off of the 7 iron specs as those wedges are more like irons then they are a traditional wedge. I’m shocked about the tip weights that’s a pretty lame excuse. Thanks for sharing.

    Would you rather get fit by someone that has been coaching you for the last 6 months or by someone that has never seen you swing before to get fresh set of eyes on your swing?

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  6 місяців тому +2

      Fresh set of eyes, what I will share with you is technique and gear are two distinct skills on their own, and each require time and experience to become proficient. With that said it’s hard to find someone who is really good at both. I do believe the gap is closing but I would say it’s the fitter to instructor that’s closing faster, as the fit side requires so much more, not only do you need the knowledge of the technology but you also need the technology and the fit matrix to become an expert in that space as that takes a much larger investment. So my advice is search for a fitter who can compliment the instruction and vice versa. You achieve this by disclosing what your concerned about and what your currently working on. Lastly if you have a coach/instructor who says they can fit but one doesn’t have a launch monitor or a vast fitting matrix to try a bunch of options then just tell him you would feel better if you were able to compare more brands and more options to make a lot informed decision before investing a single dollar.great question.

    Are you better off paying for the fit or going someplace fitting is included if you buy clubs? I feel if it is included, they are going to try an upsell.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  6 місяців тому +2

      So funny that you ask, I would 100% agree with that statement, you know what they say nothing is ever free they will somehow find a way to recoup that cost the unfortunate thing is some fitters will have about 6-7 opportunities to get it back.

    How do I get fit for a combo iron set when the fitting is with a 6 iron only?

    • @CoryLancasterYT
      @CoryLancasterYT 6 місяців тому +1

      You don't get fit for every club at a fitting, you have to take a leap of faith at some point. No way a fitter can cover all scenarios.

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  6 місяців тому +1

      So we do this all the time and what makes it easier for us is we fit off of the 7 iron which is a little more closer to the cutover. The question we need to determine is if the combo is going to be a 2/5 split or a 3/4 split. So I will try both 7 irons to see which one we need. But it’s more easier then one might think. In regard to how we are able to just fit for the 7 or 6 iron, is simple we only need the one club to determine the build specs for the rest of the irons as they are meant to compliment one another so as long as the specs were identified correctly during the fit an experienced builder can easily build the surrounding irons. Great question.
