The little dudes opening the checkpoint gates is incredibly well done. One of the most immersive things I’ve ever seen in a scrap mechanic challenge. The creator has an eye for level design.

Man I love all the details. As a former rally marshal, seeing all of them scattered around the track made me grin

Looking forward to seeing it VS kAN. Since he has his own RC drift track in his house. Which 100% translates to Scrap Mechanic physics. 🙃
You gotta tell Kan about this challenge as it is right up his alley as he drifts RC cars in real life.

4:34 That's actually a fire extinguisher, most race and/or drift cars have fire extinguishers in the passenger foot space since fires are more common when you are burning rubber and revving engines at twice the normal speed
Those are some amazing car models for the block like nature of Scrap Mechanic.

The drifting and tracks are beautiful, but we have to talk about the cars. I could instantly tell the yellow one was a Quattro, proving it is a good, detailed and accurate build!
For a larger mm challenge: everyone makes a drift car(no thrusters no glitches) and send them to each other, then you each make a track for them
It looks and sounds like these cars need thrusters, but there would still need to be limitation on how they are used to keep the drift cars looking like cars instead of thruster sleds with wheels.
I think Scrapman has never heard of Gymkhana in drifting. The last level is pretty much not a "race" per se, more of a todo list that you have to do in the most efficient way.
Drifting is just racing for people who cant go in a straight line

This challenge map feels like the game Absolute Drift, I recommend checking it out it's pretty fun !
Especially with the free roam map, it feels somewhat inspired by Absolute Drift

I love how ScrapMan said multiple times that "there has to be a better way to do these ones" (the 2 4-sided lamps) without thinking of doing a figure-8 style path😅
I would love to see you, Kan, Kosmo and Moonbo have a MM competition in this map and kudos to the designer for the miniature people they are so well done!

I can see inspirations from Need For Speed Carbon Drift levels, it also had those yellow lines

Its kind of funny how bad he is at drifting. He has moments of brilliance and perfect lines then slams his front in right where it dont belong. Good stuff

What a fantastic challenge! Actually well drifting cars (really difficult to create), great courses, and many lovely details.
You guys have done "survival of the fittest" evolution challenges. Have you thought about something more like a "selection pressures" challenge? Not a one-to-one parallel, but basically, only the animal (or build) that isn't suited to its environment evolves. So, whoever is already winning doesn't evolve. Both the losers get two minutes to add however many blocks and power cores you decide, then you compete again. Whoever has the lowest level (has evolved the least) at the end is the winner!
This... would honestly even the playing field against you a little bit. There have been times when your first build just ... wins. And you don't have to do anything else to it, lol. Not always, but often enough.
as i said, drom the depths, hard but fun.

A redo of this map for a 1 v 1 would be great.
Though I kinda would rather see an evolution style 4 player drift car match after every six laps you take the winners car and "improve" upon it. After the first two races you get to add weaponry! Just to add chaos for the drift car derby!

Hey Scrapman i love your vids
Oh we have to get a MM where you guys build full drift cars/trucks for a course. I know you guys have done it before BUT you could make another with similar designs to actually get them to drift. You could do a point system like in Formula D or just do a map like this one
You could do each person does a run alone or like a duel chase thing, again like Formula D
Day 4
I have an idea for a multiplayer monday team battle in the danger zone: base defense Each team has a stationary tower they want to defend from the opposing team's explosive gliders. The gliders can drive like cars and launch themselves off of the ramps in the center of the map or off the catapults scattered throughout. Gliders get unlimited repairs and the aim of the game is to destroy the enemy tower by wearing down its armor and hitting its central tnt. There are a few variations to the game that you can choose from such as if the tower has its own defense turret (and if the turret is autonomous with sensors or manned), and what weapons the gliders have (guns vs bomber vs tnt kamikaze).
Instead of driving an eight course Scrapman going around every single pole fully before continuing.
I really don't want to make Scrapmans performance bad, but I really would love to see someone driving these courses who really have the skill / training to do so.

I hope i'm not too late for this question, but i would guess that, in the last best builds episode, when you talked about not showing stuff that requires file changes, you were at least in part talking about my challenge. So regarding that, i wanted to ask if you would change your mind if scripts to change the files back and forth were included. I would of course provide absolute transparency to prove that none of the files are malicious

You aren’t aggressive enough, you need to be starting turns like half a car length earlier. When your instincts say too early state the turn.
Yes, multiplayer. Turn it into a whole four player saga. The best of 2 separate races race against each other for the gold...

Tandem car race. 2 people on each team. you biuld long garages. 1 drives the back wheel & the other drives the front. the back & the front cannot be connected with logic. You race. The best part is that your all on the same discord call.
I think the last level would be more of a co-op than a versus, because it might not care who hits a censor. But the mid levels would be cool

Scarp race the losing car will be remade but power cores will skill for 1st and 2nd 3rd will get upgraded or scarp it this is for trailmakers

Do a 1v2 parasite fighters against cargo plane.the fighters have 1 or 2 smart cannons and 30 block limit and the cargo plane gets to have 2 miniguns that is controlled by the cargo plane

I was thinking instead of sensors all around it make the barrels free floating then put sensors underneath if they dont detect anything the barrels explode so it means a light tap wont affect it but if you full on ram it it will explode

devs should implement a part with which you can add and substract challenge time, so that you could punish hitting something or not getting a marker with a time penalty ... would really improve the possibilities with challenge designs and make not only races a smoother experience

Please make challange where in order to fire weapons, your vehicle must be at certain speeds in trail makers. Mabye a minimum speed of a half or quarter of your plane max speed, you decide

You could have cones with sensors under them that would subtract points from your score.

Hey, love the vids. Im German and just startet playing Trailmakers mainly because of your vids and finished the campaign. Did a pretty good drift car as my first Build/ upload and wantet to ask if you could make a video showing off some drift cars in trailmakers as well maybe just like this vid here. Ik that you did one on a custom course like 2 years ago were you said thta you r not the best but would still enjoy you trying :)
