Question: Hi Donna, I'm so close and excited to making my first beach rhinestone pen. Your instructions are great and I've hopefully assembled all the tools, including your husband's amazing pen turner. My question is about sealing the barrels if I paint them. I am using Markerflo pens. You recommend sealing them with Rustoleum 2x Matte clear sealer. Do you seal prior to applying the stones or after? May I ask why the painted surface needs to be sealed? I used to seal them I don’t anymore. When you apply your liquid fusion or whatever adhesive your using will act as a sealer.
