    I'm a professional cleaner and I hate stick vacs. I don't understand why people replace their regular vac for a stinking stick vac which is inadequate for a 2K+ sqft home. They're just a glorified, over priced electric broom that does a worst job than a standard broom.

    • @berimboplata
      @berimboplata 2 роки тому +25

      99.9999% of the world aren't professional cleaners. In fact, most of us hate having to clean. Its a chore. I'd rather do a million other things than clean. But I clean because I have to. So convenience is king. The best vac in the world is the worse vac in the world if its unused and the worst vac is the best if its used. So my crappy cordless stick vac that picks up only 60% of a big heavy corded is 10x better because I'm able to quickly use it 10x more. I'll see my stick vac just sitting there and I'll grab it on my way to the kitchen to do a quick vac in the area - something I'd never do with my big corded vac in the closet. So while it doesn't pick up every piece of dirt, it picks up most of it on a near daily basis. Which is better than getting all of the dirt on a weekly basis.

      WHY is this ignorant comment PINNED? Glad you're not MY "professional cleaner" if you are that dim that you can't IMAGINE why people prefer the stick vac. I bet you charge by the hour, too.

      @@berimboplata this needs more thumbs up! I'm currently looking into stick vacs because i have a toddler and cleaning has become not only a chore but also a nightmare with my tot getting in the way and stumbling on the cord, we also live in a much smaller apartment right now and my regular vacuum is just a hassle to use...so having a tool that i can use to clean up fast and easy is of the highest priority for me..if i ever need to do a deep clean i still have my old trusty vac

    • @berimboplata
      @berimboplata Рік тому +4

      @@Alicenwndrlnd Agreed! It's really all about the right tool for the situation at hand. To me, a stick vac is like a vespa scooter and a corded vac like a car. At first glance, a car seems superior in every way. Until you live in a dense city with high traffic and low parking. Then a little vespa that can weave between cars and park easily becomes the better solution.

    Most of your points make no sense. No one would even consider a stick vac if a traditional vac works on stairs or narrow places with obstacles/cables. They wouldn't have designed cordless underpowered stick vacs in the first place were regular vacs superior.
    The spinning brush on a stick vac that rotates in a single direction makes it work only when you are using it forward (clearly all stick vacs in your vid left no debris when used correctly)-just look at the shape of its bottom, of course pulling it backward wouldn't work. Lift it up before pulling it back solves all the problems. Tbh you are referring to them as hype simply because you are used to traditional vacs.
    You are 100% right about the bag though. It would be perfect if they have stick vacs with disposable bags.

    When looking at a cordless vac, I am looking for a daily quick vac, much like sweeping with a broom. I would always have a corded vac for weekly cleaning. It’s just so nice not to fight with a cord. My personal peeves with vacuums are...noise, cord and in the case of a canister vac, getting it to follow you without crashing into walls or your heels.

    • @Alicenwndrlnd
      @Alicenwndrlnd Рік тому

      OMG imagine they would create a smart canister vacuum that has the "brains" those small robot vacuums only it is programmed to follow your heels and stay away at a certain distance that would be genius!

    This was eye-opening. I've used the same central vacuum for 30+ years and it has never let me down as far as cleaning is concerned. But dragging out the hose for quick cleans is not the most convenient so I have been researching stick vacuums thinking they would be a nice option for those quick cleaning times. Based on your review and some others I would not invest in a stick vacuum.
    As I listened to your comments it occurred to me that we really should not be using a rotating head to clean anything and that the use of those bars might be a holdover from these old-time motorless push sweepers or the beating of area rugs to clear out the dirt.
    So my search continues for a quick-use vacuum...maybe they still make those old push sweepers

      No I think they are worth it. It's convenient and does more than good enough. I would rather use one of those every day instead of using a powerful vaccuum once a week. Vaccuums with cords are a pain in the ass to use.

    Thank you for noticing the obvious, which the industry ignores, that a spinning brush on a hard floor is a major problem. I got a brand new Hoover upright that said it was good for carpet and hard floors. I live in a sand box and I have dogs that bring that sand into my house. When I vacuum, my feet are painfully pelted with sand. I'm looking for a better vacuum now. Kudos. The stick cordless may still be my best fit though.

    We still have ways to go on the cordless game. They still feel under power and and don't have the conveniences of something like a full size uprights. These are obviously ment for quick pick-ups. A cordless full size upright would be a great idea but there still needs more time to be comparable to a corded upright.

    What do you think of Tineco? They offer packages with dual powered heads, one with a standard powered brush for carpet and a large soft solder for hard floors. Another question. The standard black plastic hard floor tool used by more powerful vacuums, how do they work with large debris? It looks like they are very close to the floor and would just push around the debris as there is no way for it to get in. I have small children and that is a primary concern of mine. For that use case wouldn’t a large soft roller be superior?

    I totally agree with your view, and in fact I see canister vacuum as having much better maneuverability than a stick or an upright vacuum. I've actually been looking for, and asking manufacturers for a cordless canister vacuum on the market. It should not be a difficult change to utilize the current mini body design from a stick vacuum and transform that into a canister vacuum. This will significantly reduce the weight on the hand back to similar to the weight of holding the wand of a canister vacuum. A motorized floor brush is in fact needed for a vacuum to dig up dirt from carpet.

    These tests are awful, also the price range of the Henry and Zero G are 500 and 600 plus dollar vacs. It's not even a fair comparison because only the LG is even close in comparison to cost.
    And the LG is not the most powerful cordless vac, it's the Dyson V11 by a good margin in its high setting. Granted it can't last very long on that setting.
    There is a lot to be said about technique used with a vacuum and what to expect out of a vacuum.
    Something like the V11 I feel will be able to easily replace most people's corded vacuum easily for daily use and probably clean better. Of course it's very expensive as well but it's extremely convenient which is the whole point of the thing.

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  4 роки тому +3

      Quite an interesting opinion without a many facts. The v11 cordless makes 19" of working vacuum on a good day. What was said in the video is that LG A9 was the "most powerful stick vacuum tested to date" 35" of working vacuum and 110 sealed. Significantly more than the Dyson v11. But the Lindhaus machines blow all of those away in terms of performance. You complain about machines being 500- $600 which is the pricing of the v11 and many other stick vacuums. I'll link in the comment below to be v11 suction testing and why it can't not replace a full size machine.

      There's often not a lot of likes on review videos and technical tutorials people come here for a specific piece of information and then leave.

    Dude you've just put me off buying a cordless stick vacuum. I think i'll just buy a regular miele vacuum!

    you are one like the not believers to put a turbo on your car to create horsepower on a engine!
    so you like to drive a big V10 to have 400hp, i drive a 4 cilinder with turbo and of course i have the same power. only my consumption is much lower! result = is much easier to use, cheaper to use.
    and now i like to drive electric! way much HP!!
    Technology never stops!!
    And of course i like to drive the old Jaguar E type!! but only in free time!😉

      Nope I prefer Turbo cars. Sick vacuums just don't work as your only vacuum. They can be convenient for quick pickups for some forks.

    I would dispose the dust into a grocery bag instead of directly into the bin.

      Why not just have a vacuum that puts it in a bag for you 🤯 ?

      @@PerformanceReviews So we don't have to buy the bags and create more waste on the environment.
