I'm still a teenager but I love this song still. I recently started learning it on the guitar and my parents are surprised that "young people" still like it. Has to be top 25 most recognized songs of all time.
After 54 years of being a Michigan fan, this game was the first time I had ever attended a game at the Big House. When the 3rd quarter was coming up and I heard the beginning of Mr Brightside, I started tearing up and singing along at the top of my lungs. My 2 friends who were with me(also their first time) looked at me with bewilderment, they didn’t know what was going on. A gentleman behind me said “you’ve been waiting all day for this haven’t you “. At which point I turned around with tears in my eyes and said you bet your ass I have. One more game to go, Go Big Blue !

I feel badly that they stuck you up in the far corner of the stadium. But only a little badly. I also enjoyed seeing your band high-fiving the MMB when they were coming off the field at the half. Hope you had fun despite the outcome.
Name me a song from the 2000s that not only gets overplayed more than "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers but also has earned the right to be overplayed because it's literally the most overplayed song of the first 10 years of the new millennium along with deserving to be overplayed.
Is it a popular College song ? Or University song of Michigan? Forgive my lack of knowledge about that team, I don't follow it much. The crowd is amazing and I would pay big bucks to attend to a chilling crowd like so. Is it happening during each game ?
