For security jobs, find those that after office hours or at nights. Security when the client is present is way too much extra work. Avoid malls, store, and any super busy space. Closed offices, warehouses, etc are best. Plus also during winter, avoid outdoor gigs. Ensure heating is provided.

I stay in Alberta and expenses of living are less here as compared to Vancouver. The rent is high there. If your daughter is in first year then you will have to pay for her college. She can even get college education loan.
You can expect around 4000 cad for expenses (excluding college fees) in Vancouver with a car and its insurance included. First year insurance is expensive. But your daughter can earn part time with work and that will make it easy😊
