Thanks Neal, Had questioned about old fashioned fried apple pies and another member referred me to this earlier video. Great dessert and can't wait to try it. Thank you Neal for your video and Jason Lang for zeroing me in on it!
PEACHES EVERYBODY...PEACHES!!!!! This is simply fantastic. Not only to watch but to dream of the tastes involved. And, the little bit of salt in the butter makes for that incredible umami taste profile. Bananas Foster, stand back there's a new sheriff in town and he's a PEACH!!!
@@TheFlatTopKing oh brother, now that's a hard request to turn down. This coming weekend you can send him up here to Nebraska cause we are going for it full tilt!, thanks for yet another great recipe!
Looks so good I could almost taste it. Adding it to my list of things to try on my griddle. Except, I think I will use a true bourbon instead of a blended whiskey. Keep those recipes coming!
I wanted to add that yours is the first and only dessert recipe I have found for the griddle. Now I can make my wife supper to include dessert! she will be very happy. To think I learned from a navy cook lol! Proves that I am learning to Love One Amother. / Army 1973
Neal, you had me with the bourbon! I didn’t see the ice cream coming but that is over the top! Once you poured the bourbon over the peaches and brown sugar, the flies from Buffalo started heading your way! Great dessert! Cheers y’all!
I hate to do it i might have to make again🤣🤣🤣 mu dads all over me why he wasn’t invited. But im picking okra so fried okra is in the mix. Now i have to choose between red beans and rice topped with fried okra or another dessert. Uuugggghhhh
came across this video on Wednesday, made it on Sunday.....DEEEEEE Licious!!!! Added a little nutmeg to the brown sugar on the peaches, and used Peach flavored Crown, but otherwise, did it the same.
Glad to hear...thats why I am such a stickler to clean as you go..when its still hot its a lot easier to clean...just a little water to help dissolve the sugar and get it off before it cools down.
@@TheFlatTopKing lol. So been in a great discussion at my pub about bourbon. I could have swore you were pouring from a Crown Royal bottle. Doesn’t true bourbon need to come from KY?
@@johnmccaffery5186 yes sir your right. I was just saying that i just bought a woodford reserve. I used crown royal in the peach video. Its all gone now. Remember im a Tennessee fan. Dont last long🤣🤣🤣
I wanna see a video that you cook something on the flattop and finish it on the Weber or visa verse. Only because my Weber is lonely now after getting my camp chef and want to do a double device cook
Cooking today and its on my mind. I love my weber and try to find ways to incorporate it almost all the time. I actually use it probably 50 percent of the time just dont film it. any suggestions on what to throw together. Tonight is grilled pork quesadillas
NO but honestly IF you have tried it before I think is smells way better than tasted...the peach crown to me doesnt stand up to evan williams..now that has some peach taste..but they use what you have or like...hell it just food and the mix of the ingredients all complement each other so well it really wont matter
That looked so good, I'm a big peach fan too. But this video is not something to be watching at 03:00 in the morning just as I'm getting ready to go to bed. Do you have to use the bourbon in this recipe? Booze is not something I would normally have in my house.
I'm a little unclear on how you feel about peaches................................:) BTW, Crown Royal makes a peach flavored whiskey. You guys might be a bit young for this reference, but a better music cut for the syrup pour would have been some Barry White...........................just sayin'..........
I adapted this to do inside on a couple of skillets because it was late and I didn't feel like firing up the flat top. I sliced my peaches paper thin, used frozen Sara Lee pound cake, used a LOT of butter, and topped it with Reddi Wip. I did it again tonight with homemade whipped cream, but I forgot to take a new picture. Thanks Neal! Crown Royal !!! A Canadian Fave !!! Now you have given me another excuse to go and buy another bottle!!!!
Just one of many…🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought about using a peach whiskey but then again it was just another excuse to Crown Royal
@@TheFlatTopKing if you can find it down there. Another southern Ontario fave is 40 Creek.

Well, I know what I'll be making the next time we have friends over... Yummm... FYI, the bourbon was actually Crown Royal Canadian Rye whiskey.

I agree but royalty free music for now HAHAH dont have that much money.
Doesn't the grill lose its 'seasonings with all the sugar being used?
Nope not at all...why do you think that...Seasoning when done correctly can take a lot of tolerance...thats what is there for...
Why didn't u use peach crown, for extra peach flavor.
Definitely could have...
Should have used peach crown royal
Dang right...would have been fantastic
@@TheFlatTopKing try making a "Peachy Palmer". tea and lemonade. Add a shot or two of peach crown.

@@TheFlatTopKing That is my drink of choice now. Crown cam out with handles for peach a few months ago in my area.
That was Crown Royal not Bourbon !
ok....It technically uses the bourbon mash percentage...Bourbon can only be made here in USA...so its about as close as close gets....
Huge mistake. Canadian blended whiskey is not bourbon.
