Thank you! I decided to add some highlights without touching the gray to help everything blend. My hair was getting darker and the gray mostly framed my face. The contrast seemed a bit harsh and so highlights softened things up a bit (in my opinion). 😉🩵
Hi Robin, lovely to see you back, fit and well again. That food poisoning sounded absolutely awful. You're very wise to start using disposable gloves when handling raw chicken. It's much safer. I also throw all the packaging away. For everything else I do recycle, but not for raw chicken packaging. Enjoyed your video. Loved all your baking👍. So glad you’re better. I had food poisoning once when in college, and it was an awful 12-18 hrs. More good reasons to go plant-based. 😊 I am doing a vegetarian Mediterranean meal plan for now (transitioning to all plants…).
How is your transition to vegetarian going. I thought the Mediterranean meals would be the best route for nourishment and moving towards more plant based as well. Do you have a particular UA-cam that you follow for recipies?

The Mediterranean diet is really plant-focused with minimal processed foods, more vegetables and lower amounts of animal protein and dairy.
My niece got food poisoning from a salad. Also, both food poisoning and stomach virus can last more than 8 hours up to a few days. 🤷🏻♀️ I’m glad you are feeling better, my answer for everything is to drink tea!

I would love to see you do more fun decorating from products that we could buy on Amazon, I am about the age of your mom I would guess. I wish she would come visit you so you could give us ideas she may have. We don't see much about Payton and his school. Let us know what he is doing. Is he still making candles. Now my favorite question to ask you. You had a beautiful modern home before you did this one. This one seems much smaller. Are you as happy as you were with your big kitchen and fancy bathrooms? My list got way too, long was buying more than needed, etc. You showed how to look at what you needed to use items you already had on hand. I followed this for a few weeks now and love it. So much easier saves money and keeps from wasting food. Some of your new viewers might be helped by checking that out. Great and simple advice to follow. Get a pen paper and check to see what you have and need to use ,work around that and save save and save. God Bless You and Family.

Praise to God you are on the mend and feeling better! I use my bread maker almost weekly. I have been making my own bread since the shelves were empty at the beginning of the pandemic and haven’t bought a loaf in 4 years. I love it so much and love that the ingredients are clean and healthy. I make a loaf of whole wheat bread ( with flax seeds and a little honey) every other week and freeze half. It tastes so much better than store bought! I use the dough setting and rise it myself. Works great even at our 10600 feet of altitude. Thanks for sharing your week and Happy Easter! He is Risen! ✝️
Welcome back! I'm glad you're feeling better. My husband is vegan so we don't eat any meat. Working with meat, especially chicken, can lead to problems when it mixes with other items while preparing. We do! But lately it consists of walking and practical tasks like relocating everything in our hangar while the renovations are happening (heavy lifting 😅). Normally we do a Ten Minute Abs routine (30 Day Fix) with some pushups in addition to walking. There have been countless store bought recalls lately. CookingatPam'sPlace has been reporting them. I honestly lost count of them. What concerned me the most was the one about baby formula (for those who use it; Daniel was on a lactose free formula in 2008 and Thomas was breastfed in 2011, had tubal ligation that year), the one about Robitussion Cold and Flu Honey for both adults and kids, and the warning on shredded cheese. My new job hasn't started yet. Changed my mind and plan to get a smaller and more affordable metal house kit. Just enough space for Lee, Daniel, and I. The pantry isn't as large as the first kit I considered but I can add shelves or cabinets to make it larger. The utility room is also farther from my room, but I don't mind walking longer. Thomas died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome seven weeks after his birth. I did bottle feed him milk I had pumped before the surgery the day I had the tubal ligation and until it was okay to breastfeed him. He preferred that. He didn't like the bottle. Recipes look delicious but I plan to do dairy-free Keto. Eating too much bread made my stomach larger. Fortunately it hasn't made my bust any larger. Haven't gained any since my breast reduction in 2015 but they are still proportionally too large. I'm a 34GG or 32HH but I want to be a 34D or 32E. It balances with my narrow hips. Can't meal prep until I get us a place. My mother and brother's wife Corie does most of the cooking. The rest of the family are hoarders. There is no free space in the pantry or fridge. I'm a minimalist. Love the colorful decorations. My house will be Bohemian and Eclectic.

Hi Robin…your house and outbuildings look fantastic…glad you’re feeling better and I think we have all had food poisoning at one time or other…IYKYK…I had a bread machine and gave it to daughter in law…then purchased a new one on f b marketplace and use it a lot too. I always check and adjust flour after it starts mixing adding a bit more if dough seems too sticky…if I’m working at home I remove the dough and put it into a bread pan and bake in oven…it’s been fun getting back into bread machine baking. Robin we are putting a new roof on this summer and keep going back and forth between the metal and what we currently have which is the tiles. I worry the metal maybe noisy when it rains. Do you notice that?
I have never had a tile roof, so I cannot compare the two, but I love the sound of rain on a metal roof. I don’t find it to be loud, just different from the sound of rain on an asphalt roof. To me it’s one of the perks - but it might not be for everyone. I wish you all the best for your project and hope that you love the results of whatever you choose! 🩵🩵🩵

Having a bread machine helps a lot, and if I find that making bread is something that I want to do on a regular basis, I will buy one for sure. The first recipe you made is similar to the one I tried recently, but mine has a few more ingredients. But I intend on trying your recipe! As for your food poisoning, thank you for explaining what you had. The fact that you lost 4 pounds so quickly shows how sick you were! I was wondering if it could have been a food allergy, since you were the only one in your family to get sick. I’m no doctor, but I remember my uncle (who was a GP) explaining to me the symptoms of food allergy, and it can manifest as severe vomiting or diarrhea, but he never mentioned something about fever… So, even if I tried to help you solve this mystery, I guess my help is not so… helpful!!! 😒I loved your Easter decor on your table, especially your table runner! We keep a bottle of GSE (grapefruit seed extract) on hand for stomach issues. Works fast. 18 drops to a bottle of water and you’re good to go. Works for the dogs too. So glad you are all better. Your roofs look fantastic! Happy Easter……Sunday’s coming! 🌴🥕

Food poisoning can be caused by contamination during a 48 hour period. Most people blame the last fast food meal, but it is most likely caused at home. Glad to see you are well again. ❤❤

Robin, welcome back and I’m glad you’re feeling better! I wonder if you’ve ever tried making your oatmeal bread GF? I know Peyton has celiac disease, as does my oldest daughter. She’s in her 30’s, and has a family and home of her own but is the only one in our family who eats exclusively GF. I will sometimes make a loaf of GF bread for her as a special treat with a bread machine I have (and I use it only for GF bread making.) I’m wondering if I could substitute one of the GF 1:1 flour mixes available on the market making sure to use GF oats and follow your recipe? If you’ve tried it already and had success I’d love to know!

I’m glad that your food poisoning didn’t last too long. I had one many, many years ago when my older dauther ❤was 3-4, and younger was just a baby. I was making meat, potatoes and brussel sprouts. My younger daughter was on formula but older one had the same diner except brussel sprout. Me and my husband got very sick, and fortunately my daughter was saved. I think it was pesticide in my veggies. For long time I could eat brussel sprouts. The house look awesome. And I love a color of pansies. See you soon, I hope. ❤

Hi Robin, I'm so glad you're feeling better!🤩You reminded me of when I got Campilo bacteria from chicken cutlets years ago. Everything was "running away" from me up and down for 3 days.🤮🤕🤢 Since then, I regularly wash the meat in warm water before processing, regardless of what the "experts" think about the loss of vitamins, etc. ... Otherwise, the whole house, even with the new roof and the surroundings, looks wonderful!!!😍

Unfortunately, lettuce is one of the biggest sources for food poisoning along with melon and cantaloupe. Safety is the key regardless of the food

Hi Robin, so happy that you were back today. You were missed by so many. Your entire place is looking so pretty. I went back to find a video of yours on making out your grocery list. My list got way too, long was buying more than needed, etc. You showed how to look at what you needed to use items you already had on hand. I followed this for a few weeks now and love it. So much easier saves money and keeps from wasting food. Some of your new viewers might be helped by checking that out. Great and simple advice to follow. Praise to God you are on the mend and feeling better! I use my bread maker almost weekly. I have been making my own bread since the shelves were empty at the beginning of the pandemic and haven’t bought a loaf in 4 years. I love it so much and love that the ingredients are clean and healthy. I make a loaf of whole wheat bread ( with flax seeds and a little honey) every other week and freeze half. It tastes so much better than store bought! I use the dough setting and rise it myself. Works great even at our 10600 feet of altitude. Thanks for sharing your week and Happy Easter! He is Risen! ✝️

We do! But lately it consists of walking and practical tasks like relocating everything in our hangar while the renovations are happening (heavy lifting 😅).

There have been countless store bought recalls lately. CookingatPam'sPlace has been reporting them. I honestly lost count of them. What concerned me the most was the one about baby formula (for those who use it; Daniel was on a lactose free formula in 2008 and Thomas was breastfed in 2011, had tubal ligation that year), the one about Robitussion Cold and Flu Honey for both adults and kids, and the warning on shredded cheese. My new job hasn't started yet. Changed my mind and plan to get a smaller and more affordable metal house kit. Just enough space for Lee, Daniel, and I. The pantry isn't as large as the first kit I considered but I can add shelves or cabinets to make it larger. The utility room is also farther from my room, but I don't mind walking longer. Thomas died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome seven weeks after his birth. I did bottle feed him milk I had pumped before the surgery the day I had the tubal ligation and until it was okay to breastfeed him. He preferred that. He didn't like the bottle. Recipes look delicious but I plan to do dairy-free Keto. Eating too much bread made my stomach larger. Fortunately it hasn't made my bust any larger. Haven't gained any since my breast reduction in 2015 but they are still proportionally too large. I'm a 34GG or 32HH but I want to be a 34D or 32E. It balances with my narrow hips. Can't meal prep until I get us a place. My mother and brother's wife Corie does most of the cooking. The rest of the family are hoarders. There is no free space in the pantry or fridge. I'm a minimalist. Love the colorful decorations. My house will be Bohemian and Eclectic.

Hi Robin…your house and outbuildings look fantastic…glad you’re feeling better and I think we have all had food poisoning at one time or other…IYKYK…I had a bread machine and gave it to daughter in law…then purchased a new one on f b marketplace and use it a lot too. I always check and adjust flour after it starts mixing adding a bit more if dough seems too sticky…if I’m working at home I remove the dough and put it into a bread pan and bake in oven…it’s been fun getting back into bread machine baking. Robin we are putting a new roof on this summer and keep going back and forth between the metal and what we currently have which is the tiles. I worry the metal maybe noisy when it rains. Do you notice that?
I have never had a tile roof, so I cannot compare the two, but I love the sound of rain on a metal roof. I don’t find it to be loud, just different from the sound of rain on an asphalt roof. To me it’s one of the perks - but it might not be for everyone.

Having a bread machine helps a lot, and if I find that making bread is something that I want to do on a regular basis, I will buy one for sure. The first recipe you made is similar to the one I tried recently, but mine has a few more ingredients. But I intend on trying your recipe!
As for your food poisoning, thank you for explaining what you had. The fact that you lost 4 pounds so quickly shows how sick you were! I was wondering if it could have been a food allergy, since you were the only one in your family to get sick. I’m no doctor, but I remember my uncle (who was a GP) explaining to me the symptoms of food allergy, and it can manifest as severe vomiting or diarrhea, but he never mentioned something about fever… So, even if I tried to help you solve this mystery, I guess my help is not so… helpful!!! 😒I loved your Easter decor on your table, especially your table runner! We keep a bottle of GSE (grapefruit seed extract) on hand for stomach issues. Works fast. 18 drops to a bottle of water and you’re good to go. Works for the dogs too. So glad you are all better. Your roofs look fantastic! Happy Easter……Sunday’s coming! 🌴🥕

Robin, welcome back and I’m glad you’re feeling better! I wonder if you’ve ever tried making your oatmeal bread GF? I know Peyton has celiac disease, as does my oldest daughter. She’s in her 30’s, and has a family and home of her own but is the only one in our family who eats exclusively GF. I will sometimes make a loaf of GF bread for her as a special treat with a bread machine I have (and I use it only for GF bread making.) I’m wondering if I could substitute one of the GF 1:1 flour mixes available on the market making sure to use GF oats and follow your recipe? If you’ve tried it already and had success I’d love to know!

I’m glad that your food poisoning didn’t last too long. I had one many, many years ago when my older dauther ❤was 3-4, and younger was just a baby. I was making meat, potatoes and brussel sprouts. My younger daughter was on formula but older one had the same diner except brussel sprout. Me and my husband got very sick, and fortunately my daughter was saved. I think it was pesticide in my veggies. For long time I could eat brussel sprouts. The house look awesome. And I love a color of pansies. See you soon, I hope. ❤

Hi Robin, I'm so glad you're feeling better!🤩You reminded me of when I got Campilo bacteria from chicken cutlets years ago. Everything was "running away" from me up and down for 3 days.🤮🤕🤢 Since then, I regularly wash the meat in warm water before processing, regardless of what the "experts" think about the loss of vitamins, etc. ... Otherwise, the whole house, even with the new roof and the surroundings, looks wonderful!!!😍
