I noticed that my larvae issues started as soon as I placed my first trap, after I removed the trap, they no longer came as often
it's a current bug.
bugs in general are supposed to spawn and attack at higher rates and numbers with greater building...however for some reason traps count waaay too much towards this and seemingly everything else means little
@Calxyn dude, i made a base in the sky and i was wondering why so many larvae and spiders were on mysterious machine, i guess those are raids that just can't find a path to my base.
@Calxyn no, it's a bug.
you can build insanely large and complex bases without raising the attack rates much at all.
the moment you start putting actual defenses like traps down the attacks become increasingly common and dangerous
@Calxyn It's a bug. Simple test, save your game and harvest enough mats for 6 spike traps and whatever other materials you want for your base. Come back to your base and build/organize stuff but don't build any traps. Likely experience zero larva attacks. Next morning, build 6 spike traps. Get mobbed by larva. Supposedly it's directly tied to the spike trap, so if you build them in your base in the sky, they'll spawn in your house too if you want.
Natures like: you dont need the traps, they could hurt someone
To get a level 2 axe, you need to kill a ladybug to get its parts. And then, go to the OTHER tree to get berry leather to analyze it and then craft the insect axe

Berry leather isn't needed for the axe its the hammer that needs it

yeah... the more you fortify your base with traps the more it get attacks lol, it becames a tower defense i suggest moving to a diff base maybe above the ground/ above the rocks...
Really? That sounds cool. That's why I like 7 days to die for that tower defense aspect to it. I hope they add more tower defense stuff like turrets or something .
also I hope they do add rain into the game and make it super dangerous. Maybe you have to build structures to protect your self and the base from rain or else it all gets wiped out.
Ant My Dude With rain, there can be different effects on the ecosystem, changing up the bugs so stuff like gnats can’t use their wings. It can also be a way to introduce newer bugs. Also those container can be filled with rainwater

The smartest way to use the trap is make a lore trap and but spike traps around it so the walk into them
Drop a heap of mushrooms in the world and weevils keep coming, which both distracts the ants and provides food.
The reason why the larva keep coming is because of the traps. The game assumes that you have really upgraded your home to the point where they can send larva instead of ants.

Maybe cover the floor of your entire base with clay blocks to stop grass from growing. Its also make it cleaner and less lumpy
You need to take your chests and put them on your upper floor so they aren't so accessible to the insects. They're attracted to structures, which is why they keep showing up in your base.

Keep an eye on the weapon durability and try to repair them before they break.
Right click on the weapon in the inventory and select repair.

@whatanerd correct because the few thing that might work is blocking and attack but stamina won't work so death death will be a mesage infront of your face mulitiplayer might not work some thing may not have collision . Enemy ali may mesup do to the player

Blitz, to get the next level of armor after spider armor, you have to kill ladybugs and you need berries to get berry leather, you can get berries at the other tree, the ladybug armor is the best in the game so far, you should do that in the next episode. You can also get a secret level three weapon/tool with mint. You should also make a two story wall, and probably put a door, instead of the little hole by the juice box if you want to stop the larva from coming in.
thee should be a update where if they destroy ur container its in a little sack that will decompose and go away over time that way u dont get lag like that
Oh they did actually do this, when a chest or basket is destroyed, it turns into a small pouch that contains all of the items inside it

i love this series.
I've noticed that when I lay down a spike trap (even away from my base) the game responds with Larva spawning nearby and wrecking things. As for the lure traps, Ants swarm it, and occasionally aphids too! ... I'm not sure I want to know how the game will respond to the trip-wire bombs!

Labybug armor is the best so far in the game and it’s easy to get. Hit the ladybug and then go around it 90 degrees and hit it again

Just a tip you can repair weapons using quartzite and armor using armor glue to get grubs you must use a shovel on dirt particles
The larva don't like ground clutter, like stumps left behind when cutting down grass, so placing the spike traps actually lures them in lol

The larva have an army. The first time I seen them I watched a massive line of them going into a tunnel. Went into the tunnel and spent the next 10 minutes killing what felt like 50 of them. There was that many my game was lagging hard. I stood in the centre of the dead bodies swinging wild. Ended up dying with three left and no torch. Was aiming for the glowing red dots.

Blizs, right now, spike traps are really bugged. they will constantly spone larva attracts. The more you have the bigger and more frequent the onslaughts become.
