    Looks like you got that bag dialed in. I never heard of Beehive tool bags before but man It looks really rugged. I kinda do the same thing as you with the bucket. I have a bunch of tools in other bags, but I'll end up throwing what I need in a bucket and taking the bucket with me instead. It's great for carrying tools and trash as your working throughout the day. At the end of the day I just dump it all out and put the tools away. Good stuff man, take it easy

    Don't think you need to justify the use of the strippers, they are better, - quicker and easier on your body. Great video and prefer this type to the newer toolbag tour where you overlayed audio to make it quicker - we love tools so we don't mind! Peace!

    Hey mate, I just had some questions about your socket set-up. Thanks for your time.
    Do you only carry metric?
    Do you have a link or part number for the 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch sockets or did they all come in one set?
    Where did you get those socket holders/rails?

    • @Finntheweekendwarrior
      @Finntheweekendwarrior  4 роки тому

      I got the rails from eBay but they are ready available a few places.
      I only carry metric, I never need imperial and if I randomly find it once a year I can get by without.
      They are two different sets but I don’t have the part numbers handy if your determined I can dig them up a bit later

    • @SouthsPride10
      @SouthsPride10 4 роки тому

      @@Finntheweekendwarrior Thanks for the quick reply mate. Don't worry about the part numbers if it's inconvenient. I'm looking to acquire sockets for my tool bag, Kincrome offer that many different sets I was just interested to see what you use.
      I also noticed Kincrome discontinued those pencil cases you have, damn shame, they would have been handy.

    • @Finntheweekendwarrior
      @Finntheweekendwarrior  4 роки тому

  • @deanrhodenizer938
    @deanrhodenizer938 6 років тому

    Thanks. That bag looks pretty heavy. Do you normally work from a cart so you don't have to carry it as much? Also noticed a few differences from what I tend to carry (I am not an industrial electrician) - like no flash light/headlight, electrical tape, zip ties (you do mention when you speak of the Knipex flush cutter) , non contact voltage detector, small parts container with misc parts, and safety stuff (gloves and glasses). I am in Canada and hadn't hear of Beehive before, I checked their website, looks like good stuff, I use one of the VetoProPac bags (Tech-LC) and it holds a lot but is easy to carry at your side and fits through doorways easily. I am mostly using the German brands (Knipex, Wera and Wiha) for pliers, screwdrivers and sockets/wrenches. Being in North America, I have some Klein stuff too (allen/torx wenches, and nut drivers), I use a Flir CM78 as my main meter. I use DeWalt for knives and power tools. My inspection mirrors/lights (X-Steel brand) came from Australia.

    • @Finntheweekendwarrior
      @Finntheweekendwarrior  6 років тому

      Dean Rhodenizer I carry this everywhere, given the nature of my job carts and things are not really functional. Depending on the day I will grab a couple tools and it then in the bucket bag if I only need a certain set for the day.

      You mean the country that were the medical industry here converted to the metric system that the amount of childhood overdoses decreased by tenfold. (Definitely a sign that the pre-existing imperial system was vastly superior...)
      What system of measurement does NASA use?
      What system of measurement does the US military use?
      I don’t love it when my fellow Americans turn our nation into a personified Al Bundy, we were awesome 50 years ago so suck it...🤦🏼‍♂️

    First time seeing that kind of bag but it looks cool! I'm also an industrial electrician at a mine in Canada and typically people will use the open top soft side bags like Kuny's softside. I've been using the Veto Tech XL which I love. Also what type of spray do you use to maintain your tools?

    • @Finntheweekendwarrior
      @Finntheweekendwarrior  6 років тому

      These have become the standard in the industry in Australia soft bags only last a couple months compared to the years and years you get from these.
      Most are made custom by motorcycle trim specialists and the like.

    Hey Finn, what's your take on 1000V insulated tools?
    I thought it was crucial to have insulated tools but you're clearly experienced and it doesn't seem like your pliers are insulated, not sure about your screwdrivers? Thanks mate.

    • @Finntheweekendwarrior
      @Finntheweekendwarrior  4 роки тому

      It’s illegal to do live work where I am, and the tools are only rated as long as they are in perfect condition and constantly certified similar to test equipment.
      If you are sticking things into places like screwdrivers and test probes it’s all rated in my bag, but my pliers and stuff for cutting cable on drums I don’t worry about as it’s extra money for a handle that isn’t needed.
      You can spend thousands on insulated sockets and wrenches too but again it’s so rare and impractical.
      If I was in the need to do that work, the correct tools would need to be sourced but to be honest I have never worked live outside of a few traffic signal situations, and then we had the gear provided
      That being said if you want peace of mine go for it.

      I know the veto bags get a lot of love, but they just won’t last in the conditions I work in. There is a reason everyone runs a vinyl bag it’s the only thing that stands up to the UV, dusty dry/rain, oily, and overall harsh conditions of the job. This bag is at least 8 years old now.
