That one friend is me. I always do something so stupid in the game which usually sets back my friends too, and they have to go out of their way just to clean up my mess. I hate how I keep making those mistakes. Sometimes I’m just trying to keep up with their quick pace so I don’t get left behind, but end up falling off. Other times I do crazy things that I think would look brilliant and impress them, but it just makes things worse because I only considered it for a split second in some desperate attempt to make myself look like I deserve to be in their squad. Beyond the laughter, I was hurt watching this video because it was just yelling the reality of it at my face. I know my friends get frustrated when I mess up that badly each time. I know they’d be doing a much better job if I wasn’t playing. But that ending… I never expected this video to wrap up with such a serious heartwarming lesson. It made me realize why my friends keep inviting me to play more: because it’s fun. Even if we do terrible, they’re just happy to chat with me in the game and work together. This isn’t meant to be about doing a good job. It’s meant for people to enjoy themselves and their company. This video surprisingly made me feel better about all this. I don’t know if the creator is gonna see this, but I hope he knows that his inspiring message really touched the hearts of at least one of his viewers who really needed to hear it :)

I wish I would have seen this 20 years ago... I was super into Halo 2 and even went semi-pro for a bit. This went to my head and I stopped playing games with my friends in school, instead I grinded games with internet strangers trying to be the best. Sure we would meet up in person at the tournaments but they were never going to be real friends like the ones I had in my life. I think I only made $500 in all the events I went to, so it was definitely not worth it. Who knows where I would be if I would have just chilled and stopped being so competitive. Now I enjoy single player games and have zero friends in real life, good times!

honestly this applies to other hobbies aswell, people should be able to enjoy their hobbies without the obligation of being good at it, you can sing offkey, draw poorly, write badly. but at the end of the day its important youre enjoying yourself and not in constant stress to be better you can choose to be better at those hobbies, but not having the feeling of being obligated to do so should reduce the stress from it and actually make you be better at that thing hobbies are meant to be enjoyed, not stressed over

Some people might like learning and becoming better while some others just like fucking around. Fun is a subjective word.
