Report of the 757 demise may be somewhat premature. Never mind that it's still flying (flew one on Delta in February), but someone, somewhere is still using it for trans-Atlantic flights I'm sure.
Heck the 737 MAX can cross The Atlantic pond. I flew Norwegian back in January from New York to Edinburgh (~7 hour flight) no problems. I was surprised by the lounge at the beginning of the trip report. Salon iCare - I was expecting for there to be proper eye and hair treatment but didn't see any (perhaps another section of the lounge). The food options seem okay, certainly better than the US domestic airline lounges like United Club or Delta SkyClub but obviously can't hold a candle against the likes of Lufthansa, Singapore and Air Canada.
In all business class configuration the range actually goes up over airbus quoted 3500NM range due to reduced weight. An ACT tank adds additional reserves. The 6200km flight of Philippine Airlines Sydney to Manilla is longest. I’ve been in this 8 hour flight. It’s very comfortable and quiet. Melbourne to Manilla was longer but was so successful they had to put on an A330ceo.
I did this exact flight, on this exact plane, and in the exact same seat. Considering the price I paid, I had absolutely no complaints. The food could have been a bit better, but it was a far cry from being inedible. I do agree with the comments with respect to the stickers on the window. I think they are only on this particular plane - I had the other one (F-HNCO) in the other direction and I don't recall the stickers being on the windows. For that flight I was back in row 14 and it was still a very good experience. I was shocked at how quiet this plane was.

J'ai choisi la compagnie pour mon épouse et mes 3 enfants pour notre premier voyage à New York cet été. Tout le monde est très excité et le niveau d'attente (surtout de notre petit dernier) est très haut. Au vu de cette vidéo, je suis convaincu que notre vol se passera très bien!

This was very nice.. I hope they are still flying after all this major blow of the pandemic. The two-two seating looks very nice. I hope the seat divider was enough to give you enough privacy. The meals look simply elegant and champagne of course!!! All Business Class looks very very nice...

Food seems a little bit average for a Bz class... Much more better on AF, Lufthansa and Alitalia. But eventually... the general feeling is not so bad Specially with a brand new plane.

On an other hand La Compagnie fares are very attractive ' The lounge is so- so and very reduced cabin crew. Try BA London City - JFK on a A319. But no lounge and a refueling stop at Cork Airport before to fly over the Atlantic...and the ticket fare is a little bit expensive... The cabin remains quite calm. They're becoming more and more popular as demand increases (at least before the COV-19 epidemic). Many airlines operate newer narrow-body aircraft on transatlantic flights, due to the fact they are very fuel efficient and incredibly comfortable. There was talk, that by 2025, many major airlines would add narrow-body transatlantic flights because they were becoming so popular. But that might have changed considering everything going on with the aviation industry today...
@@StallionFX1 I don't see how People prefer flying on naarrow bodies which are shakier and noisier than a 747, a380 or the the more modern 787 and a350. 737 and a320 are really the cheap buses of aviation.

Companies are starting to realize that less comfort, means less business. On average now, between 31 - 33 inches pitch is becoming a new norm. I flew on a delta A220 and it was one of the smoothest and quiet flights I’ve ever been on. A flew a PLAY airlines A321neo over the Atlantic and I had an abundance amount of room. Both were economy and some of the most comfortable and pleasant flights I’ve ever been on and I’m 6”4.

@@philippillis9393 The delta A220 was a 4 hour flight and the A321neo was almost 7 hours. I paid less than $200 and don’t regret it one bit. It was a very comfy flight. I flew on Norwegian 787-9 from JFK to Arlanda for over 8 hours and it was painfully cramped. It really depends on the airline and how they choose the layout of their seating configuration. That said, the most comfortable flight I’ve ever been on was a Virgin Atlantic A340-600 from JFK to London.

L’a320 Long Range, il vole depuis quelques années. Celui-ci est aménagé en Business donc le voyage sera confortable mais je te rejoins quand on sait que les 320LR des autres compagnies sont en général gréés en haute densité avec des sièges éco...là ça ne doit pas être marrant.

yes it's the PA sound, it's common to hear it on the A320 when you are seated in the first rows.

This aircraft is (F-HBUZ) an A321neo LR. The XLR is still in development, first deliveries are planned for 2023.
