I fired up one my old radios this morning!

Difference is, that old radio had far more bandwidth than modern radios do. Back in the old days, AM stations had decent fidelity because receivers would pass better audio which was being transmitted. AM is so bandpass limited today, the audio sounds far worse than an old school long-distance phone call!

How well I remember the old slide-rule tuning! Old school, for sure. I guess there are still some radios that have it, but VERY few. Posting 3-14-23.

How old is that radio as of 2021? Delco was made by General Motors. They made batteries, car radios, and I guess other things.
