Hi Steve. Another radio guy here, but I've done nothing like what you're doing. I started in radio in Norfolk, VA when I was 15 years old and worked in it ever since. I'm mostly just doing voiceover from my little home studio now. I always dreamed of having a job like yours. Sorry now that I never pursued it. I'm 60 now and slowing down. Thanks for the look inside the studio there at 880. I listen to you down here in Norfolk/Virginia Beach when I can get you--evenings mostly. You and Wayne Cabot are my two favorites. Be well, and keep reading the news!
Must be mixing in with another station from Mexico. I live in SE Wisconsin and I can sometimes get it at night but it's kind of hard sometimes with WLS nearby.
I wonder where that other station is, myself. I would imagine it is hard getting WCBS where you live, owing to the fact that WLS is next to it on the dial. I wonder if you could get WLS in NYC? You'd probably have to turn your radio JUST right.
WCBS is the only NYC station I have a prayers chance of ever getting. Forget WFAN right next to WSCR and WABC right next to WBBM and WOR right next to WGN. WLS tower is the farthest south so I am farthest away from it so that is why I can on occasion get WCBS. Forget getting any of the NY clear channels from Chicago I can say that for sure.
I listen..DAILY, that means like my late grandfather did.ok we would turn off all the TVs, but keep on the am radio. Im a 62 year old "baby boomer "just moved into my new apartment (thank you jesus for providing for me amen)i. My tv just said..f you..so i had one thing that kept me satisfied..AM RADIO CBS AM 880..WITH THE LORD BLESSINGS i recieved another TVs, but still..radio is king.god bless the cbs 880 crew especially Steve Scott and levon putney..blessings to you all
Great video, nice to put a face to the voice. Thanks Steve, from a big WCBS 880 over-the-air fan in Ohio (and internet when I have to). Your signal blasts into northeast Ohio at night.
Though the odds against this ever happening are VERY, VERY high, I'd love to be a guest newscaster on WCBS and WINS. If I could have just half an hour at each station, I wouldn't trade it for being President.
I like these guys on this station. Steve is great along with Wayne and Paul in the mornings. They are funny, and Craig Allan is a great weatherman. I don’t care much for the female announcers though. They have that bad vocal fry and I really need to turn them off

Sad to find out that news radio 880 is no more. Growing up in the NYC area wcbs 880 was my go to place for news and sports.
Love to hear CBS 880. I can pick it up every night in Savannah, GA. Sometimes I hear Spanish music along with it. :)
I live in Fairmont, West Virginia, and I've experienced the same thing.

At 0:16, Gary Wright's "Love is Alive" is playing in the background.

What about women with bags on the seats?
