The light issue.....all you have to do is lower the light. The footprint is small....so spread womt be an issue. I would drop it an inch lower and evaluate again.

Good idea! I did try lowering it, but I still found the spectrum didn't show off the colors of some corals. The lominie fixture has Blue, White, Red and Green channels. The violet channel in my other fixture seems to be the difference. It's a preference thing I guess... Thanks for the comment, I hope you will come back to check out pico version 2!!

It’s three weeks old. Let it mature. You’re complaining way too early.
You have diatoms, completely normal for a new tank.
As for the light, it’s absolutely fine. If you’re worried, lower it.
In my opinion, you’ve put out a “review” video way too soon.

It's a good point... Even though I started this with live rock (cooked in my 65g sump for 2 years), diatoms are probably expected from the change in environment. I'll give version 2 some more time to mature before declaring failure 🙂

Yep if the rock was in the sump in the dark you will get some ugly stages for sure .

@@richishere82 I probably should have taken rocks out of my display and replaced them with the ones in the sump. New uglies are no fun!
