may i be honest? i think the whole piece is very beautiful, except i don't feel like the photo belongs.... maybe if it was in sepia color to compliment the browns... and all of your elements are round, except the photo....the hard edges & pointy corners jump out. It just isn't cohesive, if it were mine, I would have cut the photo round or oval, or even just rounded the corners so she works in with her environment. She would still be a focal point because its the only photo ... I really do love your work, don't hate me, its just a little something to think about. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you for the comment, I appreciate every word! I considered different options of the photos however the rounded ones were simply too much for me. I like clashing shapes and textures in general so this may be the reason. 😅 the colour could be more brown indeed - but in flesh there are some nice purple undertones in the image which inspired my colour choices . I’m not sure if they are visible on the video though 🤔❤
@@FinnabairArtStudio thank you so much for replying!! i was hoping you weren't insulted, wasn't meant to be. i did think i saw a bit of a purple hue in the photo but wasn't sure. your work has been a big inspiration and really taught me a lot about being able to paint elements and use gesso to make them work together...many years ago i tried to find elements that were the right colors, or cover them in tissue or fabric to be able to paint them! lol! Really appreciate everything !!
