Honestly these freaking suck IRL. I've never had a whole shower room, but I rented a house that had a big tiled shower and cleaning it was an hour long nightmare every week. Rich people pay people to clean up after them, but having a shower big enough to play baseball in is so impractical and a waste of space. A bathroom is a spot to get clean and relieve yourself, not a spa. Going to the spa is better and cheaper than owning this.

She meant actual windows in game. The divider isn’t a window in the game. They’re both panes of glass though 😝
looks the exact same just with a line in the middle instead lol the only thing i like more abt it compared to the normal window is telhe little opened door look
The little corner platform is such a good idea.
For consoles (ps4 at least) you can hold left and right trigger, then use the d-pad arrows! I know I personally was always upset seeing hacks like these that didn't mention consoles, but it's been a true gamechanger since learning! Holding the triggers with the left or right arrows will size an item up or down respectively, and up and down arrows will bring the item higher or lower- I've found there are some items this doesn't work on tho, like counters or mirrors.

They don't work on cabinets period. Only islands.... and never mirrors, it'll only shrink the frame its in just like resizing a window removes the glass allowing only the frame to be sized up/down
Also to access debug items on sims4 PS4 press all 4 buttons 2 bumper buttons and the trigger buttons to access the window pop up cheat type bb.showhiddenobjects and then exit out go to the search by the top of the house on build mode and just press enter you don't type anything just press enter or x n then debug will pop up give a min to load all the things tho
For once, a tip that I've actually used in my own game. 😊 Have not done the makeshift door, though. Might try that next time.
personally, I like using a partial wall with the get famous glass trim + a window because then I get to put a towel rail on the outside, and if you add spandrels it counts as a separate room

On the ps 4 you can make it smaller by using L1+R1 or (R2+L2) and then on the cross button left or right. And you can also move it up with one of those button combos but cross button up or down. Just try it out but it's one of those.
Can we turn things diagonally on PS4?
@@amandakwiatkowski7434 yes! I just learned about the PS4 "alt" placement. There's already 45° of rotation at base, but if you press the same buttons as for resizing (pretty sure it's the bumpers ie L1+R1) and use the right joystick to rotate freely. Just be aware that it may rotate in a direction you're not expecting (I think it goes backwards from what I expect)

Making walk in showers is my go to when my sims have lots of money plus using half walls for making a divider for privacy and holding stuff.
Both of those bathrooms were stunning
It's such a tiny detail but I love how you rotate featured items around, it just feels very nice like "this is the thing I'm talking about y'all, this is what you're looking for in the catalog"
I wanna say; if you don't have the Moschino pack, doing halfwalls with windows on them works too. Use the Alt key to get them close together. Sure it doesn't look as nice but it's an option ^^. ( I just had to do this, myself because I don't have money for the pack rn!) 😊

I like sizing them down just a bit smaller for smaller panes. It’s one of my favorite tricks

I actually don't have to press ctrl to resize or raise/lower items. I told my best friend that, so she tried it on her pc, and she doesn't have to either. Not sure why, but hey, not complaining 😂

Please, anyone, how do you put things on a angle from laptop?!???
you might need to switch your camera from the Sims 4 camera to the Sims 3 camera and right click and drag to get the angle you want.
I think itd easier to put a glass window there and a job well done 😂 both ways are nice there is no wrong way. But I prefer a faster and easier method ❤
tbh i think i kinda like the look of the windows more but the end result with the added opened door looks really good
If any console players are wondering how to do this trick, if you play on xbox you can hold LT and RT then press the up and down buttons on the d pad to raise up the item
(I’m not an expert bc I don’t play on console but I hope this helped🙂

For people who use Xbox or playstation use the D-pad to adjust objects height and size
hope this isn’t confusing but at the end when you moved the window how do you get that angle because it doesn’t work with mine? 😭

I do this often in my builds.
I love TS4 for the cool building tools, but I’m more of a gameplay kind of person and I can get that way more in TS3, I so wish they could just mash the 2 together.

I build a wall.. I use big windows on both sides. I use the glass door in the middle. Looks great and some windows and glass doors come in colored glass.

step 1: get snowy escapes or discover university
You don't have to hold ctrl to move them up/down. Just hit 9 or 0 by themselves.
well some of us do have to hold ctrl.
Is there a way you could do this with out any game passes? Coming from someone who doesn’t want to spend $20-$40 on a pass. I’m sure there’s many others who feel this way too! ❤

I'm an console player and it's really annoying. You end up buying an £40 pack just for an hair while you guys can just get some cc.
This trick requires no mods so it should work on console too! I don’t play on console so I cannot advise on which buttons to use unfortunately

If it's move up/down- it's up/down on d-pad! (After you've enter "sizing" thru holding all triggers like for cheats, but d-pad will now control object held rather than walls/story/top down view!) Some have said you only need to hold bumpers, others say triggers, I do all 4, the cheat window pops up, and I hit B(O on PS) then d-pads should control the item and not house, simply do it again to control house with d-pad
When you're in the "sizing" mode for lack of better terms:
Left/right on d-pad control size of object
Up/down on d-pad control horizontal placement of object
I believe BB.moveobjects on needs to be done as well
Edit: obligatory NOT a builder, simply a CAS simmer that's picked up some tips and tricks either by button mashing, or kind strangers on teh interwebs 🫰🏼

And those who doesn’t have moschino stuff pack you can create a wall and put a base game window and delete the wall

you can, type in the cheat and do what she said
I’m a macbook user and I had the same problem. It’s probably about the keyboard because you don’t use the usa keyboard. In settings you can find the keyboard section and you should add the usa keyboard
Your main keyboard (for example mine is turkish) is still will be there but you can switch from the right corner. If you switch it to the usa keyboard while using sims then sizing up and down will be working🙏🏻💗
The clothes from the Moschino pack give it a bad rep, ppl be sleepin on it fr

Totally depends on the style of builds you prefer - D.U. is more on the historical side while S.E. is more japandi/current trends

Aye, since Snowy Escape & University both have the shower heads shown; without owning those packs, I wonder if you could size down a base game shower into the wall or a chimney type deal/to where it's hidden but usable? I hope this makes sense the way I'm explaining it >_< I might try to mess around with base game showers and see what I can come up with as far as what I'm (attempting) to explain lol.
Like how you'd have a 2 square room for a chimney, maybe you can do that with a shower / mess with sizing/bb.moveobjects & hide it / to get a SIMilar effect?
