I remember when Pearl Jam tickets were $18...I remember getting front row at Tool, Primus, Pantera...$20-$35. Why are tickets so expensive now? Legal scalping...and greed.

"Dynamic Pricing" is industry speak for when promoters shuttle tickets directly to reselling vendors to create the illusion of scarcity. I stopped going to show YEARS ago because of this BS.

Scalp tickets in the parking lot...go to jail. Scalp tickets under the banner of Stubhub, SeatGeek, and the like...that's just Dynamic Pricing.

In 2004 paid 200 bucks for a pair of tickets on the floor in the 15th row now you pay between 75- 250 on average for nose bleed tickets each . 200 to 600 in the lower bowl for most arena shows and 300 to 1000 on on the floor per ticket , its utter insanity. I will pay upto 400 plus tax for decent seats but as a rule I try to stay under 4000 for 10 to 12 concerts per year. This year I have been to 3 concerts for 900 in total I also have another 6 concerts paid for a concert in may for 200 , 800 for two concerts in June 350 for a concert in August , 345 for a concert in December and 420 for a concert in November roughly 3000 this year.
I must be out of the loop when it comes to today's music. This video is the first time I've even heard of the name Bad Bunny.

Drake is on tour right now. The tickets for these concerts are insane. To stand on the floor for his New Orleans concert are $554 after taxes and fees. That’s more then my car note.
You want to gripe about promoters, bands and venues running prices up through the roof …….. but the real deed that is already done is due to the web and computers. In the old day, one heard the tunes in the radio, bought the albums for home, and went and saw their favorite bands tour their new stuff and old. When people started uploading and downloading music without paying for it ( buying albums ) it killed the industry. Think about it….. these are OLD bands touring. You aren’t paying out the ass to see anyone new, because there ISN’T anyone new…….. but bless a band can become an overnight sensation, they can’t make enough to survive out there any longer. No one is doing it anymore. It is a very sad reality that was brought on by something we are all guilty of. There isn’t anyone out there over 10 yrs old that has not downloaded or otherwise “home copied” a song. So if you want to go see a big show live now, your gonna pay out the wazzoo for it…….. so get over it.

I never been to a concert so I don’t. Are about the prices anyway. I don’t see the point honestly. I went to a festival in Hungary and I saw Niall Horan, imagine dragons David Guetta and many more EDM DJs, I payed 300 Euros but that was for a full on 3 day festival. So I much rather do that then pay these ridiculous prices to see one artist all night boring!

Dynamic pricing is scalping
People should boycott these artist. Nowadays It feels like they are more about money than their fans. These artists need to know that without their fans they are nothing. I will never² go to these high price concerts even if have the money.

Im completely on the side of the artists here, people don't buy cd's or albums anymore the only way bands really get paid anymore is by playing live. Fans are just entitled babies who want everything for free. The problem is the ticket services like ticketmaster and their ridiculous extra fees
they make money on Spotify ,iTunes pandora etc
No one is asking for “free” they’re asking for reasonable prices. It’s not that hard to understand.

@@folladordeprostis Hell yeah. Although, I have to say...I slept on the Slayer show at the Forum. I bought the Pit ticket 3 weeks from the show date. I paid a premium...but not going to lie...I was glad I was there. I just saw Robby Kreager...using the stage as my arm rest...in a room of less than 200 people...for $35. Tried to get tickets to see him again at the Whiskey....almost $200 for inferior seats.
@@xzysyndrome is better to buy the tickets at the venues , if there still tickets available, won’t charge you the online fees , my friend bought the Roger Waters tickets for 35$ at the Madison square garden box office last year , with the online fees would have been like 55$, still pretty affordable , also depends on the artist to not have very expensive tickets , some are very greedy loke kiss for example 🤣

Bad Bunny? what a wasteeeee. I wanted to see 50 cent again but when the ticket was 55 British pounds in 2015, today its 160 British pounds and I am going to wait two more years for these prices to go down. Im not dying for a concert like other fools.
