  • Although this pencil didn't score exceptionally in my standard scoring sheet, most higher-end pencils tend to focus on one or two very specific problems to solve in their design. Because of that, it's hard to stick with a standardized scoring criteria that accurately compares pencils from $1 to $100.
    Obviously, this pencil is objectively better than any $5 or $10 pencil and is meant for long writing sessions in which the tedious process of ungripping, dispensing lead, and regripping the pencils gets tiresome. I'm a big fan of the mechanism inside and it's my go-to for textbook note-taking. At the moment, it's definitely too expensive for the one or two unique features it sells, I'd definitely recommend it for closer to $40.
    Anyways, I hope everyone enjoyed my review; it was really fun to film and write the script for and I hope that's reflected in the end result. If anyone has any critiques/suggestions please write them in the comments- I try my best to respond to all of them. Have an amazing day and I hope

    hey, man! Love your content! I’ve been thinking of buying a Dr. Grip and i’ve seen your videos on them. However, I have a question: are the grips on the G Spec and on the Cl Play (both border and balance) similar? Because the first seems softer, and I couldn’t find this information online. Thank you!

    Unfortunately I caved in and bought this pencil above $150... twice. :(
    Loved your review; and I agree with all the points. It was not worth above $40.
    The auto knock function wouldn't be able to catch up to how fast the lead was wearing out at times and that made me disappointed with how much I paid for it. Was expecting a flawless experience writing. It's my go to and really fun to write with for note taking because it's auto sharpening is consistent.
    The colors don't really matter that much once you get one IRL, (I got Twilight Orange & Moonlight Blue) so please to anyone buying just choose the most affordable to try it out.
    Also I was wondering if you were interested in expanding into traditional pencils like the Mitsubishi Hi Uni (HB, B, 2B) or Mitsubishi 9800 series. And perhaps 2.0 mm lead holders?

      Wow! More than $150 twice is crazy haha; I’m glad you still get good use out of them though!
      I’m glad you enjoyed my review and agreed with a lot of the points. It’s super disappointing that Uni hasn’t optimized that auto-knock function and still has the gall to charge so much for it. The Dive is also my go-to pencil, and (even though it’s super overpriced) it’s still a very nice pencil to write with.
      As with most products, the colors don’t matter that much, but look cool. I totally agree with your point that *no one* should be paying more than MSRP for this pencil, especially for something as negligible as a special color.
      I enjoy wooden pencils as a side hobby, and have a decent amount of Blackwings and Mitsubishi 9800s. Nevertheless, I enjoy mechanical pencils quite a bit more and will probably stick with reviewing them until I run out of pencils. Then, it’s very likely that I’ll shift toward wooden pencil-based content.
      Thank you so much for your insightful comment! I always look forward to seeing your feedback and personal experiences with the pencils I review and hope to keep hearing from you! :D

    I really like how you review pencils like this. I was wondering if you were planning on posting a ranking of all the pencils you have reviewed with the score sheet. Also I was wondering if you were planning to do the same thing with pens like fountain pens.

      Thank you for the kind words! I think I’ll stick with mechanical pencils for as long as possible- at this rate I might actually run out of them! If that ends up being a problem, I’ll probably shift into wooden pencils or erasers.
      As for posting the rankings of all my pencils, I was thinking about making a sort of “Top 10” video for each price bracket/pencil type. If you have any suggestions for other ways of spreading that information, I’d love to hear you out!
      Thanks again for the comment and I hope you have a wonderful day! :)

    just placed an order for the same one on the Uni flagship online store in my country, it cost less than 30usd together with some free gifts which are a set of Uniball pens and a set Emmot water-based markers, I think I’m just lucky😂

      That’s actually a steal! I’m glad you got such a good deal, considering they’re still going for upwards of $100 on eBay. If you don’t mind, what country did you order it from to get such a good price?
      Thanks for leaving a comment and sharing your experience! :)

    What mechanical pencil do you recomend?

    • @RevieWrite
      @RevieWrite  5 днів тому

      It all depends on personal preference. Which features are you looking for in a mechanical pencil that have stood out to you in the past and would make the writing experience more pleasurable for you?
      I’m looking forward to your response! Thanks for asking :)

    Oh yes now that’s a complicated mechanical pencil. It’s on my wishlist. But I’m holding back because of the pricetag 😅

    • @mohammedallamy
      @mohammedallamy 3 місяці тому +1

      Oh I totally agree with you the price is to high for what we get for it. I’d rather to buy two or three pencils for that price, well a metal body pencils.
      Recommendations: it would nice if review some mechanical pencils accessories like pencils cases or lead case and some refills.

      Thanks for leaving a comment! It would definitely be more worthwhile to get 3 or more nice, sturdy drafting pencils instead of this $70 plastic tube haha
      As for your recommendation, I might not do pencil cases, but erasers and lead types have recently piqued my interest. Nevertheless, I’ll definitely give you a shout-out if I decide to go that direction with my channel and thanks again for your comments :D

      They’re usually sold out, but I was able to message customer service and reserve one for when they came back in stock.
