Thanks for the information! I use 0.9mm myself for my art. I tend to finish of all my drawings in pen after a rough draft in pencil.🖋 I would love to try the less known smaller sizes like 0.2 🤔 I wish you a lovely day! ❤❤❤❤

Great video, Daisy! I have used mechanical pencils for years, and years. I have lead that I’ve also had for years. I’ve branched out from Pentel to Tikky. As long as I use 0.5 in a 0.5, is okay if I use Pentel lead in my Tikky pencil? Thanks so much!

Didn't answer the basic question for me. I get the 7 doesn't break as easily, but what I want is the mark to be dark and not smear.

Darkness is determining not by width but harness. "HB" is hard and will give a light grey colour; the softer you go, the darker it will be, but it will also smudge more. In ascending darkness it goes something like: HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, etc. "2B" is the most common darkish option where you get a good balance of dark enough tone but doesn't smudge too much.

This channel, daisy, is one of my favorites. Watching the videos are my bill spots of tranquility and escapism during the day. And to the point, mechanical pencils are very convenient to have thrown in your backpack. I know that they are not so common in US schools, but other places they are.

I write often with fountain pens although I prefer the writing exp with mechanical pencil. I like both, but pencils in general gives that feeling of both satisfaction and anxiety (erasability and getting smudged unintentionally) at the same time 🥲
