  • Glidebaits are different than most jerk-bait style lures. For one, they generally do not float. Also, they feature a more lateral zig zag action. Joe explains the concept of behind the Glideraider design in detail, and then catches a musky on it.

    Great job Joe! Hopefully I will carbon copy this exact scenario on Webster for the full moon in early June. And you guessed it, I’m going to pick up a glide raider as well!🎣.

      Thanks Rob. This bait is a BIG fish caller. If you put some time in with the GlideRaider, I have no doubt you will lock up with a giant. 👊

    I get that same feeling joe, whether on my hand tied bucktails or flies, it’s a great feeling. My top lure from your line up so far is the slop master.

    Nothing better than seeing the birth of your baby (lure) and its first fish!

    This man is an absolute muskie legend. I've had more muskies and follows on buchertails than anything else

      Lol why do you think the fish know the difference between buchertails and other brands

    • @pinkadam8989

      @@ticesine6589 they cast very well, ride at the right spot in the water column, always spin as soon as you engage the reel, have ridged blades that create subtle differences in the vibration and water displacement, they always figure 8 well, the tin buck has tinsel in the bucktail an adds extra flash. The hooks rarely if ever fowl up. So in conclusion, although they do have an awesome look in the water, the reason I catch so many fish is because the bait is easy and reliable to throw. Sure if I put another brand in front of the same fish it would probably still eat, but the difference is that because of how easy and reliable they are to cast far and start spinning, I'm able to place the bait further, retrieve right away, and I spend less time untangling it and more time in the water, they are put in front of more fish, which is why I catch more fish on them.

    Love it Joe. Have you thought about a down sized version of the glide raider? Curious to see what you think..... I'm thinking grand slam

    With gliders can I up size the hook to get more depth or would this mess up the action

    • @JoeBucherVideo
      @JoeBucherVideo  Рік тому +1

      ANY glider can be modified by increasing or decreasing hook size. You must experiment yourself with various lures you own until you achieve the action you desire.

      This is probably the most mysterious thing about musky fishing to my mind. Who the hell would complain about catching a decent pike instead of a musky? They’re not a musky, that’s obvious, but northerns are still absolute beasts. They fight hard, get big, and it’s a million times better than getting skunked or something.
