We wound up checking into a hotel in Coconut Grove. In Orlando, my plans just happened to be good timing. We arrived a week prior to Memorial Day. And was told by a hotel employee that we came just before Gay Days the next week, which we knew nothing about. There’s something everywhere that somebody won’t like what’s going on.

I work in the area and business are doing fine, everything’s a bit more restricted and several streets and parking spots are blocked, so far I feel is currently under control, congrats to our police department working extra hours keeping the town safe!

Me and my friends have been planning our SB trip to Miami since beginning of fall, it is all of our first times ever going there it sucks that people from the past have ruined this experience for us, luckily we have created a plan around all these parking fees and restrictions but still sucks locals are gonna see us as the bad people

the only part i find questionable is the raised fees and parking situation where tow trucks seem to be allowed to operate almost with criminal abandon and price gouge.

Good, having a good time is fine, but being overly rowdy impacts the quality of life for others in your environs.
Me and my friends have been planning our SB trip to Miami since beginning of fall, it is all of our first times ever going there it sucks that people from the past have ruined this experience for us, luckily we have created a plan around all these parking fees and restrictions but still sucks locals are gonna see us as the bad people
If you go and dont become a problem locals will appreciate you.
They're not going to think bad of you for going there, spending money and having a responsible time. There's never been an excuse for getting wasted in public to the point you become the public's problem. Past people have been wrong to act like that. The beaches and downtown are not for degenerates who's only form of fun is nearly blacking out.
I definitely think you can still enjoy the city and the beaches with some planning. And maybe you will be safer with the increased security measures.. it’s going to be amazing- enjoy
