I have Dyspraxia secondary school was so difficult I remember in year 7 I was so nervous. I could walk into school luckily but obviously I had not been to school on my own before so my mum wasn't sure how I would get on but luckily I found a new friend in my form to walk with then made more friends. Worst thing for me when I started was lunch ques first few weeks as we were year 7 we were allowed to go to lunch early but when that stopped it was quite difficult as the canteen was busy I wasn't use to it people pushing in etc took me a while to settle and get use to the environment. One-day in year 7 I accidentally dropped a plate of chips on the floor in the que as I was paying i didn't know how to react this dinner lady she went mad at me she was like you can clear that up I said something to her she was like don't be rude am getting a teacher on lunch duty you can spend your lunch doing a dining duty which meant I had a detention where thry made me clean tables empty bins it was so embarrassing. Uniform was a struggle as I found it hard to do my tie and do it properly also getting dressed after pe was a nightmare at first for me . My form tutor all through school use to make sure my uniform was smart as untucked shirts incorrect ties or length meant Detentions uniform cards etc . Its a nightmare in year 7 when your new and a teacher tells you off for an untucked shirt 🤣🤣 i use to end up wearing my jumper and hiding it underneath as I hated tucking my shirt in
Wow thank you so much for sharing your story! Sometimes I think I may have dyspraxia as I struggle with a lot of things you mention like tying a tie (least are school wasn't picky with how we tie are ties) and I was clumsy so I remember dropping a whole drink over the canteen floor a group of boys were literally staring at me it was so awkward at least I didn't get detention those! Im so sorry you had to go through that, that must of been tough for you as a year 7 cleaning bins and tables!!! Yeah I struggle with PE to I struggle to fasten up my buttons and do my laces I didn't wear shoes with laces to school for that reason!!!
@@laurenamydavidson5117 i just hated the getting dressed part after pe now I am fine with buttons but back in school I was awful untill about year 10 I think . Even now I struggle to do shoe laces and can't do a tie . At are school year 7 to 11 you could get dinning duty detention i think I had like 5 others over all my time there. My friend has also reminded me how are year 8 geography teacher she gave me a detention once for burping i had terrible luck
@@IMMORTAL508 detention for burping? I that's such a silly thing to get a detention for! I'm sorry you had to go through that! I don't know anyone who got a dinning duty detention at my school your school seems so harsh compare to my! And yes I'm the same can't do a tie still and I struggle with doing my shoe laces but I can do them if I'm giving time to do them!!!
@@laurenamydavidson5117 I think her reasoning was i had disrupted her and she was punishing me for bad manners I think my teaching assistant tried to tell her I had probably just forgot to say excuse me rather than I did it on purpose
