**UPDATE as of 11th April Fairyloot posted on their Instagram that the series launch date has been postponed. They have stated “we will announce the new sales date as soon as we can, along with other updates to these new editions” 😮 The comments on the post are still quite heated!
I have not read the books and dont buy book boxes. From an exterior perspective, the artist is not at fault. The company or author's team should have said something if there was inaccuracy.
@@BookClubbers that's what I mean, the artist has nothing to do with this. Sometimes artists just make the art with instructions and have not read the books! It happens! Mistakes, like color of a stag, is not their fault!
@@gabrielleauclair254 The issue with this mistake though, is that it is a major fault, not minor. The white stag is a prevalent character and symbol throughout the series and holds *A LOT* of importance. The stag represents the main character's home, sense of identity, hope and kingdom. And the symbol becomes a proper character (no longer just a symbol) in the final book. This is a mistake that cannot be overlooked because it takes away the purpose of this key character and symbol! Not to mention the PRICE!!!!! $200 is wayyyy too much. Especially if you are making that big of a mistake, ain't no way anybody would want to buy something for THAT MUCH MONEY, when the book cover does not even HINT at the series!!! I genuinely would not have known that book cover was for ToG if the video had not told us.
I understand why people aren't happy with the inaccuracies in the artwork (especially with how expensive it is), but other than that, I think the designs are actually really pretty!! 😍 Definitely don't think it's fair that fans are going after the artists!!
The issue here, is that the inaccuracy is a MAJOR inaccuracy. The white stag has major symbolism in all the books, and sets it apart from any old deer. The stag is a symbol of a hope, a future, the main character's status and importance, and is a prevalent character/symbol throughout the entire series. The artists work is stunning. I will not argue with that. But that inaccuracy, along with the price, is worth the criticism.

For that price point means they needed to ensure it was of the highest standard. Perhaps the approval process was rushed to get it out.

@@DontCareL0L I don't say it's not a big mistake, but that it's the team's mistake, not the artist's.

Patiently waiting to see what fairyloot is going to do…. 👀
