Having trouble looking up those state conferences on AMTA. It does not make the individual state pages viewable unless you login and you have to be a member to do that I think so there is no public event page I can find that is viewable until you pay to be a member of AMTA. All I can find is where and when the national conference is, not the individual state conferences. If I am wrong, I would appreciate a shared link.
Hi Helga, What state are you in? You can email the state president to ask about the conference. Sometimes the local chapters aren't very good at publicizing their CE classes or conferences. I'm happy to help. 🙂
@@JodiScholes I am in Illinois. How do I find out the state president's info? Are you speaking of AMTA IL chapter president? The AMTA website really does not let anyone who is not a member navigate much of their site.
I am Retaking it next month. I failed in November and lost a lot of motivation. I BIBLED all my material and by question 15 I wanted to stand up and say, “where are these questions coming from?” Turns out i wasn’t as ready as I thought…

@@JodiScholes I was trying to send you an email but it seems the email you have isn’t working. How I can get in touch with you plz I’m having my MBLEX in March
I am a massage student and I am slightly confused about the terminology on our quizzes I see terms such as Relative contraindications Absolute contraindications Indications Endangerment Can someone advise is this the same as local and general? Or is this something completely different I tried googling it and got even more confused 🤔 please help
Hi Jerne Sticky tricky language there. Absolute contraindications are the big no no. Meaning you have the potential to make your clients condition worse by performing the massage.

Hi Jerne
Sticky tricky language there.
Absolute contraindications are the big no no. Meaning you have the potential to make your clients condition worse by performing the massage.
Endangerment sites are areas of the body like the soft spot behind the knee, carotid artery etc that need caution.
Relative contraindications sounds like it means local or specific contraindications which means avoid the area (eczema, wound)
