- Welcome to Twin Elm Farms! On this channel we show what its like to farm in southern Manitoba, Canada. The farm consists of Kendal, wife Lindsay their kids Hayley, Parker, Jaxon and Brock. Kendal's older brother Darryl, wife Heather, their kids Mackenzie, Dylan, Quin and Ryenne. With our right hand man Pieter. We have other part time help throughout the season, Arch (combine operator) Terry (field work) and Rob (cattle help). We crop corn, soybeans, wheat, oats and canola. We have a cow/calf operation of mostly Simmental and Shorthorn with some other breeds in the mix. Hope you enjoy our content, please subscribe, give it a thumbs up and love hearing comments.
That sure looked like a solid plug. Nothing worse. Glad there was no damage done. Great the oats are running well. Thanks for the video.
Awesome video Kendal /Darryl you're oats are yielding well hope all you're crops do the same and you have an awesome harvest
Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one
Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Thanks for your video and that is a good looking crop of oats.
great job!!
good video
Case ih flagship series you could rock that back and forth from the cab and get it out, just saying… nah just kidding, every one of these machines will break down and i do have a soft spot for a gleaner, we ran them for years before we went to Case IH. Good luck witb harvest guys!
Sorry didn’t realize the chopper was plugged, thought it was the rotor. My bad, still have never plugged a chopper on a case but im sure its coming
Yep, every brand will break down. It comes down to preference and dealer. I'm glad we got a couple great dealers near us.
That green oat straw will make good feed.
Yep it does, cows love 2 year old oat straw. We did way too much last year and have lots of carry over
Interesting. I didn't know oats would yield like that.
Yep we have had fields do 170+ and my worst oats crop was in 2011, I had a field do 17
I've never seen such a tiny header on a modern combine 😅😅
Lol any smaller and it would be narrower then the tires
will you bale any of that straw for bedding??
I prefer wheat straw for bedding
