going back and listening to old monstercat songs has definitely shown that 2014 was absolutely the best year for this label, 2015 didn't beat it and 2016 definitely hasn't, hopefully 2014 wasn't their best year, here's for a beautiful 2017.

Slick After the new backgrounds, no color categories or labeled categories in the titles at all, the music has just been downright awful with the acceptance of like one or two songs... I am doing the same thing, going back and listening to the old stuff and remembering how much better is was before all of this new crap nowadays. I'm so dissapointed and sad. I wish I could go back lol

Listening to this had a crazy unexpected side effect, I absolutely broke down. Haven't really thought too hard about just how awful my mental space was in 2014, when I was listening to this song all the time. I always label it as a crippling depressive episode that ruined my entire life, but I haven't really reflected too much on what I was feeling at the time since. Now that I'm much older and have more emotional experience, listening to this brought that time back with blinding clarity, and I really understand the gravity of what I was going through. Had a damn good cry about it, and I feel pretty clarified. Music has some incredible therapeutic power
I feel very puzzled as of the moment too. I'm 17. I genuinely don't understand anything. Nothing makes sense. I have reached a point where I think that me existing as a male is a nuisance to society, and have been convinced that my kind is useless. It's crazy to think that everything good or bad, wise or unwise is just a distraction to the ultimate truth that nothing matters. Listening to this song and Triumph, also by monstercat reminded me of 2016 and 17 when I used to play Roblox on my moms old Mac mini. Back when I didn't even know what a calorie meant.
You know that moment when you hear a song and it never leaves you after. This is one of those for me. Just pure magic and this atmosphere is so stunning. Thank you Kasbo!

This track made everyone so excited for future bass, but most of the future bass that came after was rather disappointing to most people.
Never even heard of Future Bass. Sounds really nice though.
You can say this song is repetitive, but I think the repetitiveness worked well with this song. The same melody repeats itself but the overall sound design is definitely not 'hollow'... It has lots of stuff for me to listen, and I think this whole 'theme' of this song matches the song title really well :D

So Monstercat has added a new genre, but instead of it being something that we needed, it's basically another one of those "classify the unclassifiable" genres (like calling it edm)... Ok Monstercat. OK. Really great track though, I've been a Kasbo follower for a while and this is one of my new favorites of his.

Is this a song so good that it's own genre? no but nonetheless it's pretty good. I love this song and future bass in general. can't wait for the next WRLD or grant bowtie releases because they'll be under this genre as well. final rating 4/5

How time passed, haven't listened to Monstercat since i was a bmx rider in highschool. 5 years passed since then. All the memories, friends reappear in front of my eyes. What times, no responsibilities, living without any care in this world.

Literally same feelings, I remember I was starting high school and I was into skateboarding first time I listened to this, I still skate but everything else completely changed. and it is so fucking nostalgic listening to this music and thinking about the fact that we were really "free" during that time but we couldint realize it. First time I listened to Monstercat was back in around late 2013/early 2014 when I was going from 6th to 7th grade. It's crazy to think that I'm an adult now when I still vividly remember being 11-12 listening to Future Bass and Dubstep on the way to school; like it feels so long ago but so recent at the same time, huh??
Time really flies and you don't really think about it until you realize, and as cheesy as it sounds it really does make you value experiences a bit more lmao, make sure you enjoy life

In case anyone is wondering, Kasbo may no longer be on the Monstercat roster but I spoke yesterday with him over Facebook and he's currently in the works for a new EP that he hopes to have released with Monstercat, along with the usual remixes he puts out. I know this is off topic but I figured people would like to know. Kaleidoscope = one of my favorite MC released tracks to date.

i'm almost 25 too and i don't bother checking new releases on monstercat. I'm not as interested in as i was before. I'm not saying EDM should stay like this forever, it has to evolve in a way that make me regrets these releases
