about #mau5trap:
Over a decade since its formation, mau5trap -- the independent record label founded by groundbreaking electronic music producer deadmau5 -- has become a bastion for trailblazing and genre-defying artists. I'm 67. Fell asleep on couch and woke up to this playing on UA-cam last night. Never heard of it before and style. Don't listen to music/radio much anymore since I gave up playing long time ago but I know music. This a Real Good. Chords, melody, voice, beat, programming the sounds/textures and the use of space.
Live Long.

Found this song on the nightclub mission in Goldeneye for Wii. Then I heard it at my gym this morning and discovered it's an actual song and is amazing. Hooray.
YESSS OMG YESSS BEST GAME FOR WII
Awesome game lol
KingJaredoftheLand Heard this on GTA 5, and then found out it was a real song when it came on Pandora lol
It is pretty odd for a deadmau5 song to appear on the Wii, although the song "A City In Florida" did appear on one of the imaginary radio stations on saints row the 3rd. I played the game myself, but surprisingly wikipedia even stated that appearance of the song in the description of it.
KingJaredoftheLand How does a non-actual song sound?

This is one of those songs for me that unlocks a specific period in my life. It’s a very bittersweet memory.
17, my first “relationship” and losing my virginity. She was 19 and in an off again, on again relationship with her 26 yr old boyfriend.. who she ended up ditching me for.
It was my first job, decent sized company (20-30 employees) and she was the boss’s daughter working there - everyone fancied her, she was honestly super attractive. You know those people who just have “it”.
I used to fantasise about her every day, just imagining what it would be like if I ever got the chance to talk to her, and creating scenarios in my head. I’d even pray to God, saying she was my dream girl; if I ever had the chance with her I’d be the happiest guy in the world. Never in a million years thought it would happen.
Long story short, it happened. But I don’t even blame her for it not working out, at all. I was a decent looking lad with a “fake confidence” that I couldn’t maintain.
I love this song. But again, it’s bittersweet. Because every time I listen to it.. I remember.
I hope you will find someone where you don't need to fake your confidence, but where you can just be yourself completely.
@@TamaraZeiKhvibliani thank you, that’s very nice of you

@MaaniGoldleaf-kj5wl I wish I can say I felt the same. t brainwashed and poisoned the community. Being surrounded by so much death and drugs violence it becomes sickening when its the anthem to the destruction that surrounds you. They say often times art imitates life. To some people it's just music to other people it's reality. Growing up was traumatic and filled with fear. Entire neighborhoods addicted to drugs, police sirens being heard 3-4 times a day. Entire blocks wrapped in yellow tape. Police helicopters buzzing in the sky deep into the night.
Hehehe. Best years of our lives right? For me it was college, Hayward CA, in the 2010s. Good Time by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen is the anthem of that time in my life.

I remember, my best friend loved Deadmau5, he even had a 4x4=12 tattoo. He was coming to visit me and some friends one weekend, he crashed that night. He was T boned, I remember the hurt I felt during that weekend, knowing it was me he was coming to visit. This is the first deadmau5 song I ever listen to. I'll never forget the night. Me and my college roommates got really stoned and they turned on some Dubstep. I was looking through iTunes and came across deadmau5 and asked one of my roommates, "Hey, have you ever heard of dead mau five?" "Oh, you mean deadmouse? Yeah he's great man." I had to ask, "Oh really? Is he dubstep?" He then said, "Oh no dude. He's way more chill. Check this shit out." He packed another bowl and put on this song with surround sound, looked at me and said, "It's like you're chilling through the galaxy, dude." I never wanted that song to end.

As I said before, many meanings in one song and I don't have to forget, but be humble of who I was, present to where I am now, and looking forward to creating memory's in the future. Love all of you. Peace OUT and P.L.U.R.
When I've got so much stuff to do and it's time to get stuff done - earbuds in, volume up max, coffee ready, and this song just teleports you into such an amazing flow and space of sounds. Beautiful, and have loved this song for years. Thank you, Deadmau5 and Kaskade!! 😆😄👏
After all these years and this is STILL my favourite modern electronic track.
EDIT: It's been 3 years since I wrote this comment and nothing's changed. Masterpiece.
EDIT: 2020, still my fav.
+GLamoRousCooKie ME TOOO
+GLamoRousCooKie Because this song has it's own genre, A song like this can be only made once.
+GLamoRousCooKie same. i dont even like elecro music that much but i listen this one regularly.
+GLamoRousCooKie

+GLamoRouscookie I always remember when I was so young when I hear this song because when i was young I lisened to it
My dad introduced this song to me when It first came out when I was 8. I'm now 20 and I still play this, sadly my dad passed and it just reminds me of the good times.
sorry to hear about your loss, your dad had some incredible taste. Hope I get to share some experiences like that with my future kids
@@GrinchGames thank you 🙏🏻 hope you have the same experience
Your dad is a star.
@@axepantherlinatiger yea, he was
I wish my dad was like that, props to him 👉😎👉
This aged like fine wine!✨🤩💯🤩✨
I remember hearing this back in 2008 - 2012 era of my life. As i've gotten older this song hits more than ever looking back at all the memories from then to now. some pets and people no longer with me as they were back then. damn...
I feel the same, no more living with my siblings in the same house, people are gone. It’s crazy
This is where Deadmau5 and electro-prog peaked forever.
@Peregrine Falcon he will never stop peaking, he is literally the best
@@chinchillamaster2639 I will peak in you, soy boy

and Kaskade for me. I listened to both non-stop :D
same ^^
it's when I heard.strobe. my brother listened to it. but he dead now and he got me interested in deadmau5
It's 2024, this beat is 15yr old and still feels like it's from future. Maybe in 2040, someone will comment, no way it can't be from 2008.
I'm so mesmerized by the synchronization of the beats which ages with times, never felt old for a sec.
OMG what a baneger after 15 years!!!! I LOVE IT!!!
for me, this was hands down the greatest house collaboration ever created. it's a shame that deadmau5 has strayed away from the very music that brought him his popularity. Random Album Title still has yet to be topped. Almost every song on it was incredible.
***** i agree. although he wasn't the founder of this genre of music, he has a very distinctive sound and he blends everything together so well.
This shit gave me goosebumps when I first heard it. Goosebumps = automatically a good song.
Sam Ace Rothstein all good things come to an end.
Dan Wilson i remember the first time i heard it, it sent chills up my spine. it was unbelievable.
Almost? No. ALL songs on RAT are incredible.
This is just too perfect. I recall listening to this on long, dark nights driving when I would have to travel hundreds of kilometers to visit my dad with terminal Cancer. He's gone now, but the words "I remember" always make me connect with Dad again.
reminds me of a similarity . RIP
As they say. This is a simulation. You will see him again.
First time hearing this great tune l am 55yrs old love house music brings me back to the underground clubs . Just downloaded it to the rest of the great music l have Frankie Knuckles and the rest of the gang. Peace ✌
"I remember" this track. Forever.
I miss old good EDM. I want to hear more tracks like this.
Exactly
house music isn’t dead, it’s just tedious to search
right on! the kids today have no idea!!!
You mean trance....
VOCAL TRANCE ....THERE IS NO EDM IN THE HOUSE
240p for this great song is a crime
we dont give a fuck about that bro
the music is great.
Mo Ha We do give a fuck because quality of the audio is important, unless you use beats then quality don't matter
Elias Pettersen You realize Beats suck right?
Andrew Borody i had a pair and i sold them
Andrew Borody That's exactly what he meant.
I feel like 20 years can pass by and this song still remains timeless.
Also, 2024!
Crazy thing is it's almost 20 years
@@coloneltacomix6756 i know, right?
Im from 1820 BC and I agree this song is a legendary throwback. Been listening to since I was 3,456 years old.
Thank you.Really.Thank you.
Music like this needs to come back. I remember being a kid and wishing I could grow up to go to some clubs to dance to this type of music. Music today is nowhere near as euphoric or sensational as it was 10/15 years ago
Yeah I totally agree with ya. Songs that blow up nowadays will be big one week and forgotten the next. Hit songs from the early 2000's are still be playing till this day.
REAL FACTS
You just don't look hard enough for it, songs like Curbi - Spiritual (Mriya), Magdalena Bay - Chaeri, and Rufus - Innerbloom will have the same effect
just find your night babe, theres gonna be something out there for you! Just stop going to mainstream clubs?
Detroit has nice house and techno clubs. The scenes still alive. The Eve in Grand Rapids have house nights too.
My young uncle who was 15 at the time tried to make me get into this type of music back in 2011. Ofc, me being the kid I was (8 years old) I didn't like it. Now I see why he wanted me to hear it. I'm 16 rn btw. I put it on my cars speakers when I come back from a pizza run in the middle of the night. He goes to work at night and we live next to each other. So he smiles when he notices the music, and tells me to turn up the volume.
you're driving at 16? madness
@@Novabarberclub i dont live in the city ;)

@@Novabarberclub this dude said madness!??? Lmao

@@High_Octane Okay lol that’s just how I feel about the song. Music taste is subjective after all.
@@peachylexy you're very right bout that.I like it when dudes sing like chicks in metal after all. (Skull fist) is my favorite band lmao.
@@High_Octane We definitely need more of that type of music!
I remember my best friend had a Sony Ericsson phone and he played this song we trip together and it was the best song ever for us. Time runs fast 15 years and still feeling like it was a couple years ago.😂
Went out with my first girlfriend in 1997 feels like it happened just yesterday.
If you are reading this comment in 2030, you are a legend who knows great music. Don't let anyone tell you different.
