  • We found what we were looking for.....but did it turn out to be a lemon?? Lets see if we can't get our 'new' farmall cub started after its been sitting for 15 years (from the information we were told)
    Let us know what you think of the tractor content. We will have more on getting this ol girl revived!

    Reuben, I can feel it happening soon. My buddy has a bunch of older tractors that give him the same kind of issues. He has them all singing beautiful now. There is nothing like these old girls. I have nothing but confidence that you will have this old girl running just beautifully 👍

      @Earth and Bloom I predict success. They knew how to build those old beasts in the day and I believe in your abilities as well. Michelle will have an awesome machine ready for the crops in no time 😀

    If you are get gas , put little motor oil in cycle. Sitting to long ring could be stuck. Put oil to it let it’s soak .

    Lol. I have an early 60s wheel horse garden/mower that is like a mini replica of that tractor.

      Thats an awesome tractor! They sure made things to last back in those days eh?

    With spraying ether like you did it should almost quit turning over if the motor is good. Best way to with the old tractors is to pull start them.

      It definitely had a stuck ring or 3, letting some 2stroke/atf mix soak on them a bit.

      They are, and they sure made a lot of them! I think everyone’s grandfather had one back in the day lol! I hope not, but nice thing is all parts are still available

    I don’t see no smoke , check for spray . Take a spray plug out to see spray on the plugs

    • @earthandbloom
      @earthandbloom  Рік тому

      Definitely had a hard time sucking up the spray, probably due to no compression 😅

    Change our over to 12 volt . Put a good 12 volt battery on its buddy . You get spray and gas it’s will go buddy . Give it tow them it’s will go . Went it’s go good , hand crack it easy to start it .

    • @earthandbloom
      @earthandbloom  Рік тому

      I would, previous owner already put a 6 volt electronic ignition in, and those are spendy in our neck of the woods! $250+

    95% of the time, we simply hand cranked the cub. Batteries are un-reliable.

    • @earthandbloom
      @earthandbloom  Рік тому

      I’ll need to find or order a hand crank for it one day, it didn’t come with it.
