Originally from Rio but now nurturing talents in Virginia Beach, VA, Diego was in town for the CBBJ Brazilian No-Gi Nationals Championship. He graciously extended an invite to train at Ares BJJ in Copacabana. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu involves grappling, similar to wrestling and Judo. Karate encompasses striking and sequences of movements called katas, which is an art form.
