I'm just amazed y'all didn't know about this coz ever since the whole hypocrisy between Will Smith and Jada Pinkett began it was so see through. One doesn't stick to his philly routes and the other is constantly trying to invent a new language and a new lifestyle that ends up making her look foolish and an idiot, sorry to say.
You ever see Will Smith talk in interviews and what not, like he has both his hands up like he about to strangle someone and he's forcing the words to come out like he's trying so hard to sound smart, i knw he is smart, but like he's trying to be this scholastic genius, all he had to do was be fresh prince thats who he is and thats not belittling him thats what made him a household name and it was genuine.
As for Jada, she never made it, she tried and tried really hard, no question about that, but in the end its like she acts like shes been through it all and instead of saying it how it is she also invents a persona that I believe should be deemed tasteless and stale

Jada is now and has always been in my opinion, full of crap. From the way SHE (not Will) chose to raise her kids to how she is with Will, she has huge narcissistic issues.
However, Joy nailed it. And this is why I am not particularly sympathetic when women claim to be mentally abused by their partners. At what point does free will kick in? Will Smith is a grown man and is CHOOSING to allow Jada to manipulate him.
Now that we know she didn't consider herself to be his wife on the night of the Oscar's, in hindsight it makes Will's behavior all the more pathetic.
Because if you remember he first laughed at Chris's joke. It wasn't until he looked over and saw Jada looked pissed that his Pavlov need to perform for her kicked in.
I think they are both pathetic and Jada needs to look for another revenue stream beyond discussing her marriage

The infantilizing of Will is wild. Poor Will? Sunny claims to have read his book, however, if she did she would realize he isn’t a victim. He was clear on the hurt and manipulation on his part…not only towards Jada but his kids also. Also, how he attempted to thwart her career aspirations and things that were important to her. Where was all the outrage when he was promoting his book?…Also, all these men speaking on Will being emasculated are projecting their own insecurities. If Will doesn’t feel emasculated and is supporting her in telling her side, as did he, then I don’t understand why people are taking this so personal. There is no one size fits all when it comes to marriage or life in general.
Also, Sarah saying the kids saying they are hurt by this is a lie…That came from a “source.” We’ve seen how these media outlets use false sources to spin a narrative…very irresponsible to put unconfirmed information out.
Its because a lot happened since his book came out. The revelation of the entanglement and the Oscar slap as the biggest points. Both are at fault in this situation. Will should have never married her. Jada had said at the time she had no interest in getting married or having kids. But Will was projecting his childhood trauma of not having a happy family onto her. And she should not have stayed with Will seeing their values and wants didn't align before marriage.
They feel emasculated not will. A lot of projection on will & Jada by the public. I am glad shes speaking HER truth!. If it's gonna kill those projecting, let it be so.

If you, as a young woman, pick this book up and read it, do not, DO NOT do to your future husband what Jada is doing to hers.
The # of women out there far outway the # of available men,
So men have the advantage of being picky as to what kind of women they want to marry.
And any man with self respect will refuse to put up with any woman who does to him, what Will allows her to do with him.
Marriages nowadays are under tremendous pressure.
As a couple who have accomplished tremendous things for the entertainment business- they are top of the heap on my opinion.
But if you want to destroy marriages for the up and coming future generation?
Have them use these 2 as their role models.
First thing I would recommend is to slap both their psychologists across the face and fire them both.

I cannot take anything away from the accomplishments of this couple in the entertainment industry down thru the years.
I would also be lying if I said they were not also influential. They are.
And therein lies the challenge for many people who look up to these celebrities.
Because part of their brand is to promote other things. Things for companies to sell their products, and the celebrity- thru a joint venture- gets a cut from the proceeds.
But when you think about it, isn't their entire lifestyle also a marketing ploy?
Lifestyles of the rich and famous.
It keeps them relevant in the eyes of millions. And sometimes they promote other ideologies as well.
Jada KNOWS this and is very succesful at keeping the attention on herself by "selling" a lifestyle that has riveted the attention of millions. Hollyweird Trendsetting as I call it.
She doesn't just mind her own business and love it. No, as a marketing ploy and her brand she publicly promotes it
She has been doing that way before Red Table Talk. It worked wonders for her fame and pur$e. And even though it is contributing to the destruction of her marriage, she continues in it- chick gotta make money somehow right?
You, like me, are wise and savvy enough to see thru that garbage. But millions of naive, impressionable star struck groupies will eat this stuff up and formulate an opinion about the institution of marriage, based on what obviously does not work for Jada and Will. And use their poor example as an excuse to throw their own mates under the bus following her example.
That's what I am getting at.
It's amazing. They went from being a beloved Hollywood icon couple to being the most hated Hollywood couple, to a couple no one wants to hear from anymore. Will was seen as box office superhero. We all loved his movies. Jada did emasculate him by bringing him on air to discuss very private issues. Somehow she convinced her very famous husband that this was the right thing to do. Setting boundaries in love is one of our biggest life lessons. There's a line between being authentic and showing your dirty laundry to the world. A lot of these conversations should have been held behind closed doors and stayed there. No one needs to know that much about you. Jada is blending toxicity with mental wellness.
I mean, they tricked their fans into idiolizing them as a couple and they were full of it. Besides, Jada seems to care more about fame than her own family. That's a conniving woman right there.
Tricked? They tricked their fans into idolizing them? You idolize famous people because they are famous. You have no idea who these people really are or whether they meet your standards. Only because these particular celebrities decided to let you in on their lives, good or bad, you see them as a negative. Other notables who doesn't let you into their lives may be just as messy, different, or not to your liking, they could be much worse, but you won't know that, because you wouldn't know anything about them other than they are celebrities, and you like them for that alone. If you want to call it "tricked", then you're supposed to be, you don't know these people. Even with them letting you know something about them with the red table, they don't have to tell you everything, it is their life. People complain that they share too much, yet they're upset that Jada and Will didn't share that they were separated for years, leaving people to think that they knew everything about their lives, then later realizing that they didn't, and looked foolish for thinking that they did. Now they're upset about that.... No one can complain about somebody's else's lives, when they got their own to worry about.

You are being judgemental to Jada, I think Jada is still protecting Will big time. My wish is for Will to also tell his truth all of it. Jada is like that because of Will’s actions. I know women like her. I don’t know the Smiths personally and I wouldn’t be putting my deep business in the streets like this. That being said I get the feeling that there is a lot more to this story than people realize. Jada acts like a woman who has been scorned but doesn’t want to divorce but does want a little payback. I refuse to believe that she didn’t know how all of this revelatory talk would impact Will Smith. She’s been in the game long enough to understand that the media would run with this kind of story and especially about one of the biggest stars in the world. She’s got him looking like a straight up cuckold. I don’t know what he did to her because he’s not really talking but he did something. I’ve been on this planet for almost 60 years and I know that Diary of a Mad Black Woman is NOT just a movie.

@@Makmurf no it doesn’t have anything to do with race. My reference to the film Diary of a Mad Black Woman was because of the potential similarities between the Smiths and the characters in the film. In the film there is a long suffering wife who decides to take some power back by doing things embarrassing and humiliating to her husband. That’s what I think is happening with Will and Jada because she is saying things that are embarrassing and emasculating for Will. I don’t believe she doesn’t know the impact all of this is having on Will’s image. And he ain’t saying jack which says volumes for me.

sometimes experience is paramount, and you can tell by the way Joy approached the subject that at her age she knows very well how to discern love from all the other dynamics that can get convoluted in it. She just cut through the bs here. Those too are in an unhealthy relationship that persists hanging on to the idea of love.
