That 36” moment is priceless! Nice vid boys… 👏🇦🇺✌️
I use the wood one and it absolutely gives me a boost in volume vs a regular cross stick; tone sounds incredible too. However, even the wood one pivots... and it's incredibly frustrating. It'll catch initially, but as you continue to play it'll swing past the rim entirely. I have to readjust mine mid-song almost every time I use it.
Tem que ser com 2 parafusos eu fiz um com um aro velho ficou excelente!
I think the people that invent these products NEVER play regular gigs. If they did, they'd make this sort of stuff work better.
Of course it has to be the wood one !!! ha ha 😀 nice one guys
We'll expect to see a DIY version over on your channel next week! 😉
Yep, the maple one adds a little extra something !
Mmm,not entirely sure I'd buy it,perhaps play with different woods in the sticks, maple, oak, etc. Also different weights too. Great work as always chaps, but never heard"Run to You"😳😲😲 is like saying you've not heard "Alright Now" by Free. Well done for being honest tho😉😊
Another option are the jam blocks or a wood block.

I think I prefer a good old fashioned wood hoop instead, then you get nice woody rim shots and cross stick sound that feels more connected to the drum.
Good shout! 👌
"in sound ... it really did boost it up a bit". Not to my ear! I'm listening through studio monitors and the volume change was negligible. The tone was slightly different. But if you're looking to cut through and need double the sound level, I don't think this is it. Looking for a way to mount blue jam block to the rim.
I had credit, so I figured why not and went with the wood.
The rim riser maple seems to have a warmer sound, but it's pricey!
Super idea !! Good call Make 2 lug holder design make it a bit longer to reach two lug !! thus making it more stable , and more poppy, being longer
We do!!
It would be great to have the stability, but then it wouldn't be as widely compatible because you could only use it on snares that are the right size and lug count for the riser's specs. So maybe one designed for a 14" 8-lug snare and possibly even a 12" size as well to add to the line up. Still a great idea and very useful!
I didn’t hear a bit of change at all.
Agree! Very minimal if any change.
not sure I think it's worth £49.99!
