- Have you heard of locums tenens? ad @locumstory
Translated from Latin, locum tenens literally means, “to hold the place of.”
Locums Doctors = Travel Doctors. They step in when full-time doctors get sick, need a break, or when seasonal illnesses (or pandemics) bring in more patients than usual. Some locums physicians may choose to travel to different states while others work at different facilities closer to home.
Working as a Locums physician allows you to practice in underserved areas like rural communities, urban areas with a shortage of healthcare professionals, VA hospitals, Indian Health Service facilities, and more. Since locums physicians get to choose which assignments they work, they can tailor their work schedule to accommodate things like spending more time with family or pursuing hobbies outside of medicine. There are even locums assignments available in international places like New Zealand!

His dog is wondering who he is talking to lol.
My Dad passed away last week. He did this for over 30 years as an ER doc. He was a good man who helped many people ❤

Why is there so less people ?
My friend does this and he makes pretty good money, they pay for his hotel and car.
Yorkies are so precious I lost my 13 year old baby 2020 💚
Come to Metro Denver as in the beautiful foothills or mountains 🙏
Is this only in the US?
No, go to the website
Check out the website !
How about permanent physicians that pt's can count on being there on an ongoing basis instead of cash-grabbing the underserved area's hospital/physician budget and then bailing when YOU don't "feel fulfilled" or see a higher paying "assignment" posted...Dude...Physicians that live in and are invested in underserved communities DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! They don't need to bounce around to be self-fulfilled...they take vacations, negotiate a family-friendly schedule from the get-go (and get some of that debt you mention all the time paid for). Sometimes your videos go completely against the oath and career you've chosen...I'm a bit conflicted about your take on healthcare, in general..you've called us toxic more than once...it ain't for everyone. Hope you find happiness and a fulfilling position.
Dr. Goodman. Went to their website. Cool concept. Have read about “boutique” physicians [mostly for the affluent] and followed for years Medecins Sans Frontieres [Doctors without Borders] who serve in war torn areas. The deficit of physicians in say Delta area in the South [US] is heart-breaking. I read there were mobile units, privately funded, in rural areas and Appalachia dispensing basic care and health info for diabetes prevention etc. Thank you for your channel and for the manner in which you practice your craft! 🪴🪴
