Developing a jet engine is not cake walk and even if we develop an engine we need to test it at various parameters before announcing it flight worthy, not only that for fixing it to an air craft the engine need to go through rigorous long hours of flight trials and with the present scenario it will take minimum 10-15 years to develop it , by then 5th gen tech will be obsolete and china will be working on 7th gen.. so it is always better to work with companies like Safran, Rolls Royce or the Italian Aero Engine company to push for a better engine and will be time saving. Working with such companies can also help us in fine tuning our own Kaveri engine. At the present scenario, our squadron strength is not at all sufficient for a 2-front war and not only that we now has Bangladesh as our third front. The Migs and Mirage in the Indian Air Force need to be replaced bcz they have been serving us for a long time or else they will be flying coffins for us....

ഇന്ത്യ ഏതു തലമുറ വിമാനം നിർമ്മിച്ചാലും ആവശ്യത്തിന് ഉപകരിക്കുന്നത് വിദേശ വിമാനങ്ങൾ.
Even the Air Force chief has admitted that our squadron strength is depleting.. but you seems be more knowledgeable than our Air Force chief.. Developing a jet engine is not cake walk and even if we develop an engine we need to test it at various parameters before announcing it flight worthy, not only that for fixing it to an air craft the engine need to go through rigorous long hours of flight trials and with the present scenario it will take minimum 10-15 years to develop it , by then 5th gen tech will be obsolete and china will be working on 7th gen.. so it is always better to work with companies like Safran, Rolls Royce or the Italian Aero Engine company to push for a better engine and will be time saving. Working with such companies can also help us in fine tuning our own Kaveri engine. At the present scenario, our squadron strength is not at all sufficient for a 2-front war and not only that we now has Bangladesh as our third front. The Migs and Mirage in the Indian Air Force need to be replaced bcz they have been serving us for a long time or else they will be flying coffins for us....
