By law news companies etc have to always state "allegedly" or "accused" until they actually get fully charged with the crime. You can be held liable for smear or whatnot if you don't.

Was about to say the same thing. As soon as you give someone a little bit of power, they tend to abuse it. This is why I loathe politics also. Most of the time people who will actually help citizens don't get the jobs in office. It's usually people who are part of a political family who never worked a day in their lives.

@@dougcorcoran5455 Your argument about deflection which is whataboutism would be reasonable to mention, if I was not only dismissing what was done which I didn't, but the so-called deflections and whataboutism wasn't based on data and facts and they are. Most of the political violence, mass shootings, and hate crimes is attributed to right-wing extremists and supporters. None of what I said is speculation or opinion without facts that support it. So when I see the few stories about Democrats or individuals people assume are democrats doing stuff like this, I like to point out a few fun facts and things I know from personal experience.
For instance, the people who attacked Asian and Jewish people that were black the last few years I can assure you that most of them were not democrats let alone voters. Because a large number of those people were let just say from the streets. And people from the streets in which I can relate don't care about politics even if they are allowed to vote. The people who have committed the other atrocities I mentioned, is attributed to right-wing extremists and supporters. That's the difference. Because most law-abiding black people who vote don't key cars and knock people up side the head. Most of the time it's people that have records regardless of race. However there are a lot of right-wing extremists and supporters with records such as those that belong to white supremacist gangs like the Aryan Brotherhood. Black gangs and even hispanic ones to my knowledge don't support any political party. That's also the difference. Period.

The Senator needs to be held to a higher standard. The seriousness of accusing another of a crime in order to cover up your own needs to be dealt with extreme prejudice. The Senator was clearly jeopardizing a young man's freedom. Had Senator Miller gotten away with this he would have justified it in his own mind, believing people that don't carry his views are just bad people. If the prosecuting attorney doesn't pick up these charges' tyranny will rule in Rhode Island.

I'd love to see the guy get cuffed too, but I think the overall consensus is that there is an extremely low chance the senator tries to evade police. Handcuffs aren't intended to be part of a punishment, there is generally a reason. I've arrested numerous people without placing them in handcuffs, but they are usually released on the spot with a promise to appear in court. Whoever that supervisor was, made the decision to allow him to travel to the station for photos and fingerprints. Probably based on his cooperation, and the fact that they can find the Senator at pretty much any time on any day if needed.

The police let him drive his self to the police station when they went to his home to arrest him. The sergeant let him drive his truck instead of him being cuffed. If it was anyone else they’d of been arrested and cuffed but of course the police looking out for democrat politicians!!!

How about the ranking officer on his front porch helping his defense stating to take the report that the guy made threats at him. In addition, of course you should take his keys and send them to the lab for a very easy forensic evaluation. Good way for the officer to throw away his career by trying to help the senator but it is highly unlikely that it is the first time that officer is on the wrong side of the fence. Open internal investigation on him. I would also open one on the lieutenant in the parking lot. And speaking of his keys, I doubt it is the first time the senator has acted out, there is probably a lot of paint on those keys.

All these cops involved were not gonna stop till they drilled this asshole. The tactics in the conversation on the porch can be seen in full on the entire body cam video. As well as the video in the parking lot with the accuser and all cops involved. What is interesting is the keying is a misdemeanor but that did not stop all officers from coming to the correct conclusion for the victim.
You will see how bad a liar this POS is, as well as dropping the colonel’s name for leverage (ooops-it didn’t work)- cos didn’t even blink, they see that BS all the time.
