As soon as I saw the bean bomb I screamed "GARDEN WARFAAREEEEE" This mod has so much references to the PvZ franchise, I wish I got a good pc to play it tho.
if you didn't know the hovering mechanic for peashooter is a reference to an ability he has in pvz battle for neighborville the worst sequel to pvz garden warfare 2. after a jump from a peashooter you can hover in the air for a while or choose to fall down normaly the bean bomb or your so called "potato bomb" is an another ability it has in garden warfare, gardern warfare 2 and battle for neighborville and works the same as it does you used in the game
I always thought BFN was just a spin off of the garden warfare series rather than a sequel, I mean I don't think it's the worst, but it definitely could have been better and it's a shame that EA practically gave up on the game so soon, getting rid of any potential it good have had if they had let the developers do more with the game like they had planned before the announcement of them no longer supporting the game not even a year after its release, while yes it by no means was a success, but it could have been more with what was planned to added, such as the bosses being playable, iceberg lettuce, and possibly many more that might not had been shown to the public. I do still hope they try making a proper sequel to the warfare series, as it's looking like they might just abandon the 3ps variety of pvz entirely due to BFN not being successful, which is quite the shame due to how much the garden warfare games are loved and how much us fans would love to have a true third game be added to the roster. If they do end up making another 3ps pvz, hopefully they had learned from what didn't work for BFN and take what did into the new game along with the best parts of the previous games as well.
