Hey everyone - i was able to unlock the door without taking anything apart. Note - you'll still have to take the door card off to replace the broken actuator but you can at least have the door open while doing it. I just removed the small plastic round trim piece that surrounds the the actual lock knob that goes up when it's unlocked and down when it's locked. Just need a screw driver or pry tool and pried it up till it popped off. After that, just use needle nose pliers to pull up the lock knob and hold it there. While holding it up, click your fob unlock button and then try the handle. If that doesn't work, then click the lock button on your key fob once and pull the handle (all while holding the lock knob up). The latter worked for me several times in a row so it's repeatable and it only took a minute or so to do --- hope that helps
just got an e84 used, and while I was fixing the isofix covers I thought that I locked myself in, it was just some moron installed a matching colour sticker on the child lock and I didn't even see it was there, your video saved me a trip to a garage
Rear right door 523i wont open from outside, child lock is on also so cant open from inside FML. Unsure how to get panel off on the inside whilst door is closed hard up to back seat.

Hi mate thanks for the video. I have a bmw e90 and the drivers door won’t open from the inside or outside. How do I remove the door trim to fix the issue from a closed position? Or how did you manage to open the door in order to perform this task? Thank you in advance!
I have a 2006 750 li, the child lock is on as well with the problem that it doesn’t open from the outside or inside not sure how I’d be able to take off all the screws with that problem, if you have any solutions that’d be great

Got a 2010 BMW 528i and when car is parked for several hours and when turning on it gives me an indication that theirs battery drain while off the warning light does turn off after car has been on for a couple of minutes being on so I have checked fuses and disconnect every USB outlet but still receive the same warning every time is parked for a long period any suggestion?
