- On a walking tour of the Grove in Pitman, New Jersey. It is a friendly small walkable neighborhood that goes back to an era before many of the McMansions were desirable in the US.

As a person recovering from Covid, I am documenting my hikes to see how far I can push myself. Join me in this journey and I hope you'll inspire others on a s'more journey as well.
Nice town
I used to live in Pitman New Jersey! I loved living there!
It’s a nice community
I went to middle school in Pittman, New jersey, as well as the first year of high school.
I will be doing this walking tour with my professor on Friday ,basically explaining how the pitman grove started .Praying it comes out well
You are going to love it.
The experience there is nice. Though i am not sure how things would look in the winter.
I met a woman in a night/dance club in 1988 who was incredibly beautiful, and she told me she lived in Pitman, NJ. Her name was Joy. I have never seen a more beautiful looking woman (Kind of a cross between young Jennifer Connelly and Young Elisabeth Taylor at that time). She was a school teacher in the town of Mantua, NJ. From the internet, I found out she became the teacher of the year in Mantua in 1993, and she became a School Principle in Mantua. before retiring. She never went out with me.
She let me know that confidence was very important to being attractive to a woman, and even more important than looks. She also let me know the importance of the word "we" in relationships. If I were to guess why she never went out with me, it would probably have something to do with my lack of confidence and inability to say the word "we".
I even wrote a movie script about a guy attempting to get his wife back from the arms of the world's most attractive man based mainly upon my experience with Joy.
Over the years I came to Pitman often. I eat at Attillo Pizza Parlor, I go back to Betty Park and look over the lake. I walk around Pitman Grove.
I probably will never see her again, but often think of Joy.
This experience taught me the overall importance of the word "we", in virtually all aspects of human life.
"We" is a very important word.
Beautiful story....

Great
I live here
I don’t see any food markets within walking distance
There is a small Main Street that has some food. But not a lot. You will have to drive out of town for more options

@@radanju3 Lidl, ShopRite, and Aldi are about a >1 to 2 mile walk depending on where you are in town. As well as other stores.
