I used to work for a guy that had all kinds of old mopar stuff. The stories he could tell about things he had done in his life time. After he passed on the family just sold it all and spent the money until it was all gone. They just sold the garage and it's going to be a Bobcat dealership now. I started watching Chris when he was working on the steering of the yellow Charger in the garage. Can't wait to see what he does to the Charger with the roll cage. I know it's going to be a Gooder !!!
You bet! I want one before all gone,, I'm going crazy seeing what's laying in fields, to die! In in Canada and have a new found passion for Mopar's but few an far between in this country! I truly can't handle seeing them rot into a ground without being saved!!! Every Mopar should be restored to its natural glory! At any cost!!!!! Honestly back here in Canada, lots where made here a few loved them ! The others did too when first owned Obviously! Including myself, had a 70 challenger when was 14,bought from my brother's friend in high-school!!! And I let it go, not knowing what's happening know! With Mopar I have my first 1972 challenger rally a true trailer queen! But know knowing what ppl are talking about morpar, that I truly know I need a 68 charge my birthday is to make it legendary again.. big Duke boys fan!!! But never knew how much passion one could have!!!

Thats the problem with some of these old timers. They sit on it until they are no good. Search "crushing classic cars" on Y.T. a very common theme is the owner got sick, then passed on and the family wants nothing to do with the hobby so they call in scrappers. All the usable parts from the factory end up in china to be turned into toasters and microwaves.

Roger is so matter of fact about all those parts. Probably hundreds of thousands of dollars worth if not a million or two. Absolutely crazy! Awesome video though!

It evokes so many thoughts What a great time to be alive in the states in the 70s , im from Australia and it was almost just as cool here in the 70s we also had muscle cars Ford XY GTHO phase 3 , Holden ( a division of GM ) 350cu Monaro and chrysler Australia's version of the charger a 265cu hemi inline six that was a giant killer our premier race was a touring car road race at Bathurst a farming town in central new south Wales how things have changed from those glory days that I lived through

My family raced Mopars in the 70s and 80s I believe my father got the big torsion bars from Direct Connection we also bought a 4 bolt main LA block from Direct Connection I still have to block today we actually bought a circle track chassis from them too, it came as a uibody chassis with a roll cage on the chassis,it might have front and rear hoops on it but I can't remember it was a long time ago.
@@junkerup yeah just a small block Chrysler they were referred to as LA the big block Chryslers were referred to I believe as B or RB blocks thought the RB were the talker deck big Chrysler blocks.
@@junkerup I'm keeping it, it's been pretty of the family fir the last 40+ years, plus I have an SK Modified I still race it's a circle track asphalt car with 13.5 inch slicks and 15x15 rims, it's like racing a big go-kart I'm building a small block Chrysler for it,that are still 2 out of the 3 tracks in Connecticut that I am stoll allowed to run a Chrysler engine 😀

MOPAR guys have collection after collection of these rare cars ,one MOPAR guy goes its a sickness lol this other guy with hundreds of MOPARS ,satilite hemi convert under a lean to and every other Hemi car from the line up in bits or half built or just outside in the elements with 20 life times of projects on the go at once with these 2 old MOPAR freaks
I knew a guy that had shops and buses full of stuff just like that and when he past they hired a junk guy to clean it all up he took it all to the scrap yard

I understand that these hoarders have trouble letting things go. But for crying out loud, before everything goes electric, give someone a chance to restore their projects with some of their stuff.
I'm not a Mopar guy even though I know no part means money and even I know what was in that storage area is worth Bookoo bucks but to me the biggest shame is all that racing history just in the trees and nobody even knows it this guy should be proud of his racing history all that stuff should be on display it just seems to be ashamed to hide all that history amongst those trees
The small tree's weren't there when the cars were parked there lol. But I get what you were saying. 20 years agonI stopped one day after finding 7? Monty carlo in the woods I wanted it so bad ask if I could buy it. It was a hard no and a door slam. I would have loved on it and gotten it back on road now its still there but not much left not worth the saw gas to cut it out I know that old man is dead I could probably get it but now I'm broke and broken lol but what if that had been a yes that day. Its a Shame. If more people would care about car history and let people love on stuff that's just going to rot or get shredded.
Yep families want the Quick cash, don't treat the old timer's stuff as it is. "Krypto" holds value rarely goes down. but they always seem to find a way to be broke as fast as they were wealthy from someone's years of hard work. (HOARDING) in good way, they always had money never new till they wasted it all.
If they didn't want those cars to be found/sold or restored in the past...it means only one thing...they were all stolen for sure... I've been seeing a lot of the same over and over and is the one sense I can make .
