  • Welcome to Shurvoice.com. This is the 2nd in my new series of Interviews about the joys & challenges in today's classical music scene. Professor and Operatic Soprano, Ivette Ortiz has created a thriving opera and recital career from her home country, Costa Rica, and is also a Voice Professor and Head of the Voice Department at the Universidad de Costa Rica, San Jose, Costa Rica. Ms. Ortiz shares some of the holistic ways she guides, mentors and trains young Latin American opera singers, to find their unique path in the field of classical music, and about her busy life performing in operas, oratorios and special concerts featuring Latin American and Costa Rican contemporary composers.
